I once had a friend developed this. I tried to be there for her as much as I could. I eventually had to end the friendship and almost all contact with her because two of her alters wanted to kill me and we were roommates. It hurt abandoning a friend since childhood. Maybe things will start to look up for her and we'll be able to rekindle our friendship. All I can do is hope for the best.

Jeddy Bear I had a friend who had it (we’ve since fallen out of contact) and I only saw her alter once during exam time. We were out shopping and she just started to dissociate and once she did she had no clue who I was or any of our other friends that we were out with and it was so sad to see her so scared and helpless. We had to call her foster mom to come and collect her and she didn’t know who her foster mom was either and basically we had to get an office to come out to us just to make her feel safe.

I honestly don't understand why everyone thinks this video is a good place to joke around. This girl is talking about her deepest traumas and serious struggles, but somehow people find it funny?! Well, to the girl who submitted this video, thank you for being so brave and opening up about you're tragic past. It's not easy to do, but I'm sure you'll help many feel like they're not alone when it comes to the same psychologist disorders and abuse. Sending you best wishes and love ♥️ Edit one year later: So I came back to see my original comment one year later, and I can honestly say I see some problems with my original comment. I’ve learned that not everyone copes the same way as I do, and I have learned to appreciate the appeal of dark humor. I’ve realized that dark humor is a way for people to take back what was taken from them, and not letting horrible events rule their life. It makes you feel less like a victim and more like you have control over your own life. ❤️

This is what I call “survival mode” which is when a young child goes through so much pain that it will force the body to live without creating any memories, or create memories but store them somewhere so safe deep inside that will never be able to unlock them. The child will live on and will most likely never remember anything. Some do as flash backs, but when a kid remembers it is like being drowned in sadness, disgust, the will to not live anymore because of the pain. It is better to not remember, you will always know something happened and it has to be in the past. You have to take your younger self by the hand and tell them it’s okay, and once the younger you understands that you will be able to move on. Though it’s not an easy road, it’s going to filled with mountains. Though one day when you realize that you have a goal, and people to live for, you will always want to stay in the present and set goals for the future. And always make sure that you pick up the younger you. Don’t leave them behind, show them that there is so much joy in the world, and so many people to love.

i can relate tot his- as i am typing this i am very nervous bc i know that i could very well recieve a lot of hate- but whatever. as a child i was bullied, almost killed by my classmates tree times, and my parents we're always in a fight bc they couldn't divorce, and because of the tension they would lash out at me for being frustrated. around 12-13 we moved to another coutry where my parents could divorce and sort things out with me and my two younger brothers, but before that mom and dad we're in heated arguments, this one time i didn't want to do my homework i was slapped in the face repeatedly until i burst out in tears.. and COULDN'T make my homework anymore because it was soaked in tears and wrinkled. time passed and now i am 15, and i am slowly but surely forgetting everything about my childhood, i found out about my alters at 13, i was so confused but happy at the same time, i asked them how long and most of them reply with "ever since you were a child" but why was i happy? bc i didn't have to suffer alone, and that i wouldn't be alone ever again. i explained the D.I.D. i didn't know i had, aka, my current situation to my therapist. i explained it as "my emotions and beliefs being shattered beyond repair, including my identity and sense of self." as i am growing older i have now around 7 alters, i'm pretty sure there are more to come. my parent's till this day know nothing of this, and i plan to keep it this way. and kid's/teen's going through abuse/anything else, stay strong, if you can't love yourself for someone else, then don't, don't depend on loving others and having them love you back. loving yourself is the greatest treasure in the whole damn wide world. never forget that. (i'm oretty damn sure i swapped 4 times with alters while reading this- damn my sensetive emotional being :"D)

I can very much relate to this experience, I went through extreme trauma when I was a child which resulted in memory loss, some done under hypnosis, the rest was naturally repressed because I couldn't cope with it. Unlike her, my memories naturally resurfaced while I was watching a video from my childhood, it triggered all of my memories to return... basically I had been living a lie for half my life.

🙄 People write their stories to this channel and if accepted they will be read to us by a reader of the channel (actually I only know this one but I guess she is not the only one because there should at least a male for stories of males). Did you really believe they would let speak the authors themselves? Can you even imagine what an effort this would be? Beside the fact that it would cost many subscribers because talking and pronouncing skills are very important - that's why she is so good. Probably she is trained in some way.

I am at the 1:45 minute mark. This is dissociative identity disorder. Several of my friends in the autism community have it because of the horrible trauma they went through. I have CPTSD and also experience periods of dissociation in the form of maladaptive daydreaming. I am sending you all the best wishes and good vibes and love. 💓
