That bench turned out to be very beautiful. I love the way you include the cat in the videos, and especially how she comes to inspect the progress of whatever your working on, and then when it's finished, she comes back to give it the final check and paw of approval. She really loves hanging out with you in your workshop - everyone should have a shop cat as an assistant.

A beautiful bench and a beautiful model to show it off too 🥰 I've never seen spalted wood before. Isn't it amazing the patterns left behind on wood caused by trauma basically. The spalting being caused by fungus and burled wood also scars from a battle with a viral or fungal infection. And those battles leave the wood all the more beautiful and interesting to look at. This transformation is great! We actually have these chairs from Ikea, which come as a set with 4 chairs and a table in our kitchen. We got them 5 years ago for $159. They are solid wood, and are holding up well. If I ever need benches, I’ll know what to do! The spalted wood is exquisite!
