Wow, the camping is very simple, even though it's surrounded by caves, but it looks very comfortable, bro

Where I'm from, we would call that an "outcropping " . Still a great shelter. 😊. We have many caves here; two that have been made into tourist attractions: Ruby Falls (so big the waterfall is inside the cave) and Crystal Caverns (it's huge and has actual crystal growing in it). But I actually like the smaller ones I've explored better. ❤ I really love your videos and it's always amazing to see what you accomplish!! Thanks for sharing!!

Eastern Ohio, West Virginia all through the Ohio Valley have tons of caves etc. They were used extensively when settlers began moving West. There were also giant, hollow sycamore trees, some 15 feet in diameter which would shelter entire families.

Your shelter building techniques are so wood intensive to the stuff I learned. I would always frame/skeleton something up and then fill it with spruce boughs. But wherever you are, there doesn't seem to be a lot of green spruce tree to work with...

I always lit my fire out away from The Rock and my bed would be closer the rock the firewood heat the whole Rock up but I built to burn out of rocks on the outside to have my fire against... I always like having a rock shelter
@Vekhh Жыл бұрын
This time you didn;t build much and yeah that smoke was bit problematic I dunno how I'd handle it myself if I'd wish to build there something more isolating from wind and cold but in the same time giving that fire smoke route to escape without spreading through the "room". It was nice watching this, a quick one night stuff in really interesting place cause we dont have that much places when forest and cave meets in Europe, at laest not in central eastern (my) part :( I'd wish I'd had that kind of possibilities and freedom that you have. I'm waiting for another video, with I hope another great place and a long building of something really solid ♥

Do you ice bath even when you are sick i.e cold/soar throat? What about if you have the flu?
@avivaroseman8103 Жыл бұрын
I think that Lukas is seldom sick because of taking these ice baths! He is not pampering his body with warm showers like I (and many others do… )the body is much stronger than we think! Living in the here and now has a lot to do with it as well. I love your videos, Lukas, and admire your self discipline! Being part of nature when you are in the forests and not hunting/killing animals (except fish) protects you somewhat of the predators that are in these forests.Thanks ever so much for taking the time to make these videos to share with all of us. I like your videos the best!

@@avivaroseman8103 I agree with you Aviva...Lukas videos are the best. I watch other bushcraft channels...Bertram, Asbjorn Olsen Berg also with no talking but I watch Age of the North the most.
