I found a glitch that allows opening Link's inventory while he is dead.

I encourage experimenting with this on your own! This video only demonstrates one set of conditions. Perhaps there is some utility to be found.

Then, take a scuttlebug and place it on a boulder at this exact angle. This is so that the HOLP tracks Link's position at the scuttlebug even though he's actually possessing another korok. Super simple, I know.

Huh, seems like voiding out when a Korok appears has some interesting effects. Reminds me of that infinite loop bug you can find in the Hebra region, where falling off as a Korok appears will continually drop Link to his death. Still, nice find. As are the shrine skips you posted on the Breath of the Wild subreddit, like the one with the bomb arrows and Guardian laser that catapults Link over the walls.

What happens on more than one heart?

If you have >1 when you void out, you just get the korok and then respawn outside the shrine of resurrection. If you try to heal to >1 heart, Link will still die.
