Hey P.P.~ Been seeing your vids without hitting all the buttons, but THIS time I did ya' right! This happened to me in Texas, only the fish were "Sand bass." Just a little creek running fast after a hard rain. They must have been spawning (early spring). These fish wore us OUT! ALL of them big ones, too?!? After I caught about 30, I had to stop, the set screw on the handle of my baitcaster came loose, and that was it! I tried everything to fix it but couldn't. (We were walking/no tools) Thanks for the laughs, that's why I subbed ya' as well. ~Best, M.M.

Long story short there is this little lake that my buddy has land bordering, we never thought there was any fish in it until one day we were out in a canoe looking for places to put duck blinds when I started seeing nice size fish everywhere. Went back and got poles only to find it was FILLED with large mouth bass that had never been fished and they would bite on anything and it was every single cast. Funnest lake ever for a couple years until it froze out completely one winter. It’s just a different fishing experience when it’s just steady fish every cast, that lake kinda ruined fishing for me 🤣

I found a pond like that in the middle of downtown in a park last year. I guess no one thought there were fish in there, but people started fishing it after they saw me reeling in toads. My first cast I hooked a 3 pound largemouth.

We used to fish old abandoned strip mine ponds in eastern Ohio and we had a favorite place where one emptied into another but it really turned into something special after a few days of heavy rain and that culvert would start flowing instead of its usual trickle. Back then it was a Rooster Tail spinner or a Beetle Spin , anything in the white color would just be awesome. Sadly do to reclamation work in the 80’s and 90’s those little ponds were destroyed and I don’t believe any effort to save the fish were ever made. Now I drive through there and see homes and gas wells instead, nothing stays the same forever.

On the side where your thumbnail was taken, I had some fun with the 3.5" Baby Bluegill Whale. I noticed all the goldfish in there and how closely it "matched the hatch". Some of the most fun fishing I've had for awhile and from the bank nonetheless. Being from the same area(Jordan knows me) I have fun trying to figure out where you are at. Thanks to this video I was able to finally catch a smallmouth bass. Excited to see where the sediment pond is at in a few years if in can hold water, unlike the lake. I easily had a 12lb bag standing in the same spot within a few hours.

About 40 years ago, I caught the Georgia state record Small mouth bass. But not on hook and line. It was during a drought and I literally reach into Soap Creek and pulled it out from between two rocks. I think it broke the record at that time by about 6 ounces.. But ! No Hook in lip, no record. Damn those Fillets were good though.

That looked so fun to be able to catch the fish at the right time but it’s insane how within 3-5 days it can be back to biteless mania once the water calms back down. Back in the spring I fished the entry creek to this huge lake and caught 29 largemouth(all 2-4 pounders and usually a good day is getting like 4-8 bass anything more is an amazing day) in 3 hours and it was just nonstop best fishing ever and went back 5 days later and only caught 2 and that creek hasn’t had any action since that day
