I Found A Solid Silver Rattlesnake Ring And Silver War Relics!

The Battle of Ristigouche happened in the Chaleur Baie, New Brunswick/Quebec in 1760. I dug 2 Musket Balls (one fired) my first, at low tide in the rocks there last week!! Happy New Year to you and Familly!

I think the head of the snake is so stylized it looks like a cobra, it's flattened and enlarged but those are definitely rattles

Not sure if they were ever in "style" in the U.S. (especially 20 yrs later during the Civil War), but Serpent rings were the fashion beginning 1839 in England when Prince Albert gave one to Queen Victoria for her engagement ring.

Sometimes when it's really cold, before equipment gets a chance to get warm, it gets really buggy. For example, when i have to do some surveying and it happens to be cold as, i bring a thermal blanket, wrap my electronics inside and throw a heat pack or two inside before working. Gets them to a toasty 17C. Once they're warm, they've no problems running just fine. Warning, needs to be a chemical non releasing pack. You don't want to smoke your equipment or use something like an FRH, which would steam stuff up. They're usually sold as belly area warmers. One can also use a 12v seat warmer (the stuff you use if your seats don't have heating).

Those look like texas longhorns to me. I would trust them explicitly. The breed tends to be very nice to humans, unless you get one that was trained specifically to not be nice. I've got three, and they are highly intelligent and very curious. If they weren't hundreds of pounds, they would probably be my lap dogs. My bull came by one day when I was detecting on my property, and gave me a little tap with his horn saying "Hey, wha'cha doing? Can I play? Do you have food?" They'll use those horns like hands... I swear. One of the three is the "guard cow" of the herd. She'll play El Matador with coyotes, and I love it. The eldest of the three is so gentle, but she's an absolute greedy pig when it comes to chow time. She won't touch me, but she'll shove the other two out of the way to get at the food pile. Never trust a black angus. They will ruin your day at the drop of a hat.

We raised black and red Angus no problems. Brahmar cow's pinned up will kill you.

I'll trust you though... they are large critters and I treat all of them with caution until I get to know their personalities. Regardless of breed. I'm assuming you never hung out with your black angus, gave them ear scratches, or hand fed them. Worst thing my longhorns have ever done to me was whack a wad of alfalfa out of my hands because they wanted to eat it NOW... not in fifteen seconds. Impatient little goobers... :D

@@vhfgamer we called them brahmar they were half Angus half Brahma , and one hundred percent dangerous when you put them in pens 😂. They were all replaced with red Angus I'm chiggs age we had a lot of Brahmas in Florida when I was young.

@@stubstoo6331 Ah that makes sense. Explains why I've never heard of them before. I can't say my first Texas Longhorn liked being in a pen either. She was just a heifer when we got her, and we foolishly thought we could keep her in a pen that was probably meant for horses. Yeah... she hooked her horn under that thing and chucked it over her shoulder within thirty seconds of being put inside. Then she made a beeline for the next door property, which we also own. She's been there ever since. First and last time we ever tried penning them up.

What a great day you guys had out digging up lots of civil war bullets. An right before mother nature freeze's the ground. That always makes for a great day out detecting when you are finding the goods. A field with that many bullets. I'm sure some where in that field there are other civil war relics as well. That square spike looks like something off of spike tooth harrow the old fashioned one was made with poles and cross drill holes then droved in modern ones use clamps on angle iron

Alot people are complaining their GoPro's having problems exactly like yours because the camera batteries do not like the cold. They work fine indoors.

Nah, GoPro's are horrible. Freeze up all the time, batteries run out fast and they get very hot. BUT... they take great video.
