for Tartar, I think you're onto something. When you've collected all 4 Thangs, and Tartar is combining with the blender, the back shell of the phone comes off and a purple power ring is seen. It could be that the ring and lights inside are part of the real Tartar and that the telephone is indeed just a husk he wears as to be like a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I misinterpreted the line as 'she agreed for part of herself to be sanitized' rather than 'part of herself agreed to be sanitized,' meaning that being sanitized was something she wasn't against the idea of, rather than she was literally partially sanitized. (thanks to Familiar Stranger for the correction!) since the amount of active JP->EN translators in this fanbase is almost zero, i often translate stuff alone and have to hope what i'm putting out is right (pain) if any more important corrections come up i will put it in this comment.

Dang 2 and half years later and well it’s nice that Side Order gave us more clarification to Sanitization. However; weird that in the English dialogue makes it seems like Acht was forced into to sanitization, which is false (just another example of localization errors) though I will say the fact that Agent 8 was also inflicted by Sanitization, meaning that sanitization has more subconscious elements did physical effects. Love how all of this basically comes to together about sanitization. So glad I watched this it really gave me more understanding to the lore of sanitization.

I just found out about this channel and I'm so invested in all the new stuff I'm learning about this amazing series! One question i don't know if it has ever been addressed by any of the devs is why at the beginning of the octo expansion are we shown agent 8 floating in liquid inside some kind of chamber? It seemed to be more prominent in the trailer so maybe some lore got cut but is something i don't think ever got addressed... Does that imply 8 is special compared to other octarians? that lore about C.Q. Cumber is interesting, but I do have a bit of speculation regarding them. The C.Q. Cumbers aren't the first time in Splatoon that we've met a blue-coloured species of sea creatures with a universally similar mild temperament and bioluminescence. This is purely speculation, but they could very well be in a similar situation to the Jellyfish. Given that they were apparently **made** for the task of train operation by Kamabo Co. I think it's very possible that they share a mind. It would explain why they all seem to share the same personality, and having a subway system run on a perfectly synced hivemind would certainly have practical applications for Kamabo Co.

Omg the lore queens. Generally writers will only include worldbuilding and background information that directly relates to the plot, major characters, and major themes. Often times these extraneous details will be included in games as optional bonus text and dialogue but not as central features. Creating the world is a part of the writing process but it is not the end goal of writing. A good writer knows that characterization and narrative should always trump “lore” and backstory concepts for the sale of coherence and streamlining. If all these background details were directly implemented in the main story of the game it would likely clutter and fog the experience. It’s great that people are interested in this stuff but it’s not a fault of the writers

My Octoling Sniper Octo Jynx and Marina have been friends to point where Marina decided to be Jynx’s Weapon Mechanic. To where she made a custom Scope for Jynx’s Scoped E-Liter I also made Jynx’s Unit the second highest unit in the Octarian Military behind Marina’s unit I also made Jynx miss only two sniper shots in her whole Octarian military career both in which where against Old Agent 3.
