The leveling process has to be fun and rewarding considering we have to do it every season. Otherwise it feels like a tedious chore and that’s what makes players leave. This was the first season where I didn’t wish I could teleport my level to 70.

Since the overhaul to loot and whatnot, I've been having a blast actually building my own character. I remember trying to around season 2 and finding it a horrible experience. Nothing felt like it hit hard, and loot sucking didn't help. Fast forward to a few days ago, and I decided on druid with lighting and any my God has it been a blast.

Lightning is probably B+ tier atm. I have a Lightning Druid and it's fun, but it struggles a bit on bosses. It's godly at speed farming though, as Hunter's Zenith gives you infinite Tramples to move around super quickly. If you don't have Tempest Roar I wouldn't play it...go Wind Shear instead until you can farm Uber Duriel for TR. You might fall in love with Wind Shear in the process though! It's a cool build in its own right.

I wasn't interested in Sorc at all at launch, but I rolled one in S2 in Ball Lightning meta and ever since then they're my main. The skills are so much fun, even the garbage ones, and the build diversity is really good. If it weren't for a couple of bugs (mostly around seemingly unintentionally nerfed vulnerable damage in aspects, paragon nodes, and passive skills), the class would be in a better state damage-wise (still low in the tier list overall, but would close the gap in Pit performance). But for most activities in the game, Sorceress does great. Super fast, flashy class and it's fun as hell. Enjoy!

Pro tip for hardcore, before even leaving town in wt3 and 4, you can use obols to game gear with max life, res and gamble a sacred weapon. Temper the gear for res. Won't ever die leveling If you do this

Playing since launch and recently hit level 50 HC for the first time using, what I call, a Fire Maiden Sorceress. The coolest thing about it was that, in town, everyone on the server was congratulating me. It was great until I was wiped out before reaching level 51 in the new Helltide. 🤦‍♂️

Sorc is the most well rounded class when it comes to options in builds this season. There are only like 2 or 3 that can come close to competing with the others in endgame but 1-100 and general grinding is by far the most fun I've had on the game!

For anyone leveling alts please try tempering the lucky hit temper. Elemental Surge. It is absolutely broken and no one is talking about it. You can use the first yellow weapon you drop to face roll the first 50 levels

Blizzard doesn't scale well & was used just to proc ice shards (along with Frost Nova). Not sure about how FO fits into this season with the new items. We just switched from our 85 necros Mrs & I were duoing, to sorc/druid combo. Mrs hasn't found the FO aspect as yet, but got the ice pants & Blue Rose ring, which is awesome. So far so easy/good...my druid is a tornado caster with 2 werewolf pups :).

Just started my Sorc for this season and Arc Lash + moonrise + adaptability makes it a cake walk. I straight blitzed up to level 50 and it's actually melting. Easiest leveling spec imo. Gonna switch over later to ice spikes build.

I went Frozen Orb build, it's great and all, it deletes everything on the screen while being much tankier than a Druid friend of mine. He'd constantly die in the Pit around 30 while being level 100, but I had no issues at all being level 85. But when it comes to bosses or anything single target I just run out of mana and don't have enough damage to kill them on time. And all Pit bosses have the exact same mechanic, they put that circle on the ground, then it sends those red things that usually one-shoot me. Pit 42 solo so far, anything higher it just takes so much time for me to kill the boss that I inevitable end up getting hit but those one-shot things, especially that I can't see shit on the screen due to the amount of orb explosions etc.

I have a Lvl 100 Frozen Orb as I was just going to use this build to get my spark quickly, and it turned out to be better than my Barb and Necro. A I use a Shako and this really enhances the build. She doesn't really excell until Level 70+, so you have to be patient. This is now my favorite build for now, however I am testing out the Heartseeker Rogue now as well (to get a spark) and she is also very fun to play

From what I've heard, the sorc sadly falls off at the endgame; but I will say, the leveling experience with just about any character is a TON better than any time before. It's speedy, it's fun, you get progression, you can kill stufff, it really is great.

Frozen Orb is maybe meta A tier. Only Bash Barb and (Shadow) minion Necro are truly S tier atm. Maybe Heartseeker Rogue too. Blizz, Ball Lightning, and Firebolt are all A tier as well.

Frozen orb S4 is some of the most fun I've ever had in an ARPG, NGL. And I say that very grudgingly. It's a little squishy though, you can't fart around with the build because it needs all the defensive layers.

Sorc is so much fun I play my 5. Sorc-Main now :D But I think its a tough choice for Hardcore. Right now im playing Incinerate and its so much fun! Bosses can be tough so you should Focus on increasing staggering effects and DMG to Bosses. I play it with Shako, Tyraels, Starless, Selig so she can tank tormented Bosses for groups! You need a Life on Hit - Roll somewhere though.

Played all four seasons and have leveled all classes to 100 multiple times and unless something changes I'm sticking strictly to Rogue from now on. Only class that makes me feel like I'm actually playing the game and not just watching things happen. Of course that said I never play hardcore.

Go play hardcore . That adrenaline you get when you almost die is fun in itself. It makes you play the game differently and priotize different stats so your not just pumping damage all the time. Actually having the risk of losing your character gives you that adrenaline. Go do it today man. I only have 2 hardcore characters both close to 50 and it is fun to play Hc
