I reckon as they were writing, they intended for Triss to use the tunnels in part of the escape from Novigrad, probably her entire reason for staying in that house in the first place, but they scrapped that idea but kept the concept of evacuating through the sewers in the final draft.

Btw maybe a small detail for future videos that make you chuckle - in Toussaint there is a line for workers (even on Corvo Bianco) saying something like "I haven't seen a single vampire!" after the ending and it's actually voiced by Regis' voice actor which is kinda funny, but could also be only a German detail, I'm not sure about that.

Agreed.... For a world filled with magic and mayhem, ancient civilization that make the elves look young and the fact that most human cities were made over older ruins, it's a shame that the games don't have a lot of underground zones... Sure there are some but after playing Elden ring, i was hoping there were bigger underground cities in the games.... And we also have precedent for it since in the books it's stated that the indigenous dwellers of the continent are not completely gone and live underground.... also the Dwarven capital city is supposed to be inside a mountain range.... Who knows.. Maybe the future games will have an underground zone to explore

I’m not sure if people already know this but if in blood and wine after going to the land of 1000 fables and killing detlaff, Regis asks for you to investigate who was supposed to be detlaffs fifth target. It eventually leads to you going up to talk to syanna and you get escorted by the guard to see her. But if after asking the guard to let you see her and instead of following him you ignore him and head to the ceremony. The “worst” ending will play out but afterwards when your given the objective to place flowers on anna Henrietta’s grave the option to get escorted by the guard will be there and you can go and talk to syanna (who should be dead) and get escorted straight to the ceremony with Annarietta (who should be dead) and play the same bad ending or even the good one. If you play the bad one again I don’t know what happens yet. If you choose the good ending after the bad one you’ll go straight to Regis and both You and him will go about the cutscene as if the “worst” ending happened but after the dialogue when you go to pick the roots you still have the objective to put flowers on Annariettas grave (which I haven’t tried yet.) I may be an idiot and someone has already made a video about this but I couldn’t find one. It’s a very strange bug worth checking out since I didn’t try everything.

Maybe they meant to have a side-quest involving the tunnel but it got scrapped due to time (easily tens or hundreds of quests must have been scrapped at some level of completion in an open-world project of this this size even if for no other reason than time) and there was no point actually removing the tunnel from the map, when you can just lock the house. Like the Pit in Velen which only got completed in the update.
