For the way i play 41212 narrow is the only one that works. 4231 with 3 cams in fut champs.

4-2-3-1 will always then best one ... its balance attack and defense , best for player who like to control the midfield and use a mix possession and counter-attacks. you just need 2 good agile and strong CDM for defensive coverage and ball distribution [ short and rapid pass to CAM or to wingers ], and a good finisher .

Poacher role for strikers and inside forward(attack) for wingers. ‘Counter’ offensive style tends to make your entire team make more runs in general.

If it works for you it works man! You’ll definitely be very vulnerable on counters. Your CMs need to be OP as these two players will be alone to link up your back line with your 4 forwards
