This bag set up is kinda genius! I've been trying to find a way to carry my Zoom H6 while I use a boom pole that isn't just strapping it to the pole itself, because I can't monitor the sound levels that way. I just might get this bag set up! I'm really trying to become a one-person sound team so I can work on my filmmaker friends' shorts. Thank you for this little tour of your audio kit :)

It honestly is a great bag for the price! Definitely get it. Can’t go wrong..and if you don’t like it, it could be a decent cross bag haha

Hi! I wanted to know how much does that big battery lasts approximately? I've always used the batteries that the Zoom h6 asks (the little ones) and it's pretty annnoying having to charge so many batteries (transmiter, reciever, recorder, extra battteries, ect) and also they don't last much . I may invest in getting one large battery if it last and its useful. Great video!

Thanks for watching! This would be a math problem lol The battery is 26,800 mAh and then you’d find power usage of units. Looking at H6 doesn’t have power draw on B&H but says about 21 hours off of alkaline batteries (which is 2-3,000 mAh). This battery then should be 8x that of AA used.

Just curious but is there a reason for using a splitter for scratch out + headphones if the H6 already has a dedicated headphone output on the side? Also thanks for this video! I bought the headphones and bag with your links and am using this as inspiration!

Heya! Yea I explained it in video. Splitter is so user can monitor with headphones and the other 3.5mm out is going into Rode wireless transmitter (which then the receiver is plugged into camera to capture all sounds that the H6 records). Hope this helps and thanks for using the links!

But why use the splitter if there’s already a headphone jack? Why not monitor via the headphone jack and output the scratch via the line out? I guess I’m just not seeing why the splitter is necessary… especially when the headphone jack has a dedicated volume control to help you hear the audio better in louder environments.

@@jacksonianhypocracy H6 has a line out port separate from its headphone jack?

@@845a Yeah the headphone jack is on the left next to power on (with its own volume control)

@@jacksonianhypocracy Hm good point lmao Not sure why I had it set up like this :) Been a bit since I've used my H6 so I totally forgot about the ports.

Hey! I saw your video and purchased this bag for my Zoom H6 set up! Would you be able to explain again how you keep the Zoom recorder flat instead of flopping over? I can't seem to tell from the video. Thanks!

Awe Visuals When I secured the H6 via a 1/4 tripod screw, the bottom of the unit is actually right on the fold. So it’s from that alone that it doesn’t completely drop down. But even if it did (as it has), it’s super secure from the screw still. Hope this helps and glad you’re gonna get use out of this great bag!
