I feel the HyperX buds were criminally overlooked here. I have been using them for 12 months and they are superb. The different shape of the eartip makes them incredibly comfortable to wear and do not cause your ears to ache. The sound quality is fantastic and incredibly very. I use mine for Siege and find them to be very accurate for hearing enemy footsteps. The large eartips create the seal in your ear for noise cancellation but I choose to use the medium size tip which doesn't create a seal - they feel / sound more like open backed headphones. I don't like the feeling of my ears being sealed off - I feel like I'm underwater and it's awful. In comparison, the Razer buds from the start of this video are made of metal which makes them very heavy and a painful to wear in your ears for long periods of time - this is why I returned my set and purchased the HyperX. It is very important to try the earbuds for yourself and not just assume a KZbin reviewer is going to give you the best information - what you like and what they like are two very different things.

I’m using my apple earpods when playing. I don’t like headset and the normal earbuds type, does the sound of HyperX better than the apple earpods?
@Vizr.3 жыл бұрын
@@danijc9149 Yes by a long shot. I've been using them 2+years. The mic is OK depending on the headsets your teammates use. For some it will sound clear and for other they will sound muffled. (The nerds with poorly tuned astros always have issues). Audio is great. (I do have my own equalizer setting with Dolby Atmos though). And one thing to note is what OP mentioned. Sound isolation in earbuds is the absolute worse feeling. (It does feel like your underwater. Specially when trying to communicate with teammates that will cause you to scream, which these dont. That is a plus for these earbuds. The red may seem to flashy for outdoors. But the fact that you can here around you, they're great for that to. I took them in several bike rides. Near the ocean, woods, and busy roads. I could listen to a podcasts while still being able to be aware of my surroundings. I've combine them with turtle Beach pro+ Xbox adapter. And a 3.5mm splitter to attach my condesor mic. (with external power source.) For anyone that avoid headsets. (Either for there lack of comfort, "hothead", avoiding headache/migrains) I do recommend the Hyper X cloud Earbuds. Sometimes when listening to music I'll pop these on when my Samsung wireless buds aren't enough. Question: What other Earbuds does anyone recommend. That are tuned similar to these if not better. Cause the 14mm driver sure does its job. I've tried several IEM' but b/c there usually tuned for some genre of music they never seem to work well with video games.

@@meppy9945 It's alright (usually people with shitty Astros will hear you muffled, how that happens is annoying from the way those folks tune there audio. Or even at that the hearing loss they've developed from havibg to crank up there audio to max just to try and hear anything. Yet when you get an echo off there mic you can hear yourself coming in clearly.) If plugged in straight to the controller you may get feedback being sent. But that's an issue with the Xbox controller. (I ran test with my brothers Xbox signed to the party. And could hear my self clearly with no issues. I use mine with the Turtle Beach mic adapter where it lowers the gain on the open mic just a bit so as not to pick up any background audio. I have opted to use an external condenser mic connected to its own power supply with all the fancy knobs and switches to tune my voice a little better. With a y-splitter I just separate the audio channels. Audio is still fantastic with these earbuds though. Better than any "gaming headset" I've tried before. Within its price range. There now $35 on Amazon. It really doesn't hurt to try them.

I have to say I disagree with the part on the Hyperx earbuds, I’ve been using them for over a year now, and the reason why I like them so much is the same reason you didn’t really like them. They dont actually get inserted into the ear canal, and even though there is no actual seal, there is also not a build up of pressure overtime like you get with so many other earbuds which I find fatiguing after long periods. The Hyperx cloud earbuds to me have this open sound stage, without feeling “empty”. It gets plenty loud and feels full minus the pressure build-up i cited earlier. After all that’s said though this isn’t a very common nor expected feel/design when it comes to earbuds, people EXPECT the seal and sort of pressure in the ear canal, and I can imagine why it might be offputting for some? But it by no means results in a bad product, which the Hyperx Cloud earbuds certainly aren’t. Thanks for covering gaming earbuds! I appreciate you catering to us non-headset gamers :)

I bought the Razer hammerheads a while back and I have to share my experience here. Like Dimitri said the sound is all around excellent, cable feels nice, controls are good, though the ANC is a bit lacking. The issue for me was build quality. Every pair (and I've had 3 now) seems to wear out super fast around the connector. I don't know for sure if it's the wire out the back or in the usb-c plug itself, but within 3-5 months each pair I've had starts cutting out. If you keep the connector perfectly still, there's no problem, but as soon as you put your phone in your pocket, say, you start getting cutting out.

For microphone, I do a USB microphone desk mounted. I much prefer separating the two. If one part breaks, you still have the other. So far my favorite IEMs for sound quality are the Ikko OH10s. Bassy and super clear. Soundstage. Things feel far away despite being right there in your ears. Absolute eargasm. I do also really love the Kinera BD005. They're maybe a bit harsher than the OH10, and the soundstage isn't as good (I doubt you will find much with as good a soundstage for less or more to be honest) I prefer both of these to the Linsoul KZ-ZS 10 . Both of these also have zero cable noise. Big perk to both of these is that same dual pronged replaceable cable. So if you get too excited while gaming and destroy the cable, you can just replace them. Linsoul certainly makes some amazing cables, that tangle less, feel premium. I highly suggest getting those if you get any IEM that has that standard replaceable cable.

I won't be needing the microphone feature because I have a dedicated microphone. My concern is you said audio quality dropped because of it being wireless. Does this mean it's noticeably worse than the Cloud 2 Wireless or Blackshark Pro? I've used the Cloud 2s for 4 years, but now I'm maining some cheap custom in ears using the Cloud 2 dongle, and honestly the sound is similar. Will I really be losing a lot with the GTW 270 Hybrid? To answer why I went with earbuds, it's lighter in the head and much cooler since I've moved to a room with no ac and it's often very hot. @@rhythimrt9970 Well yes because theres a massive diff between saying "open backs tend to have wider stage" and "all open backs have wider stage". Just because an open back doesnt have a wide stage, it doesnt mean theyre badly designed. Take the 6x0 series for example, benchmark mids and tuning yet they still have an subpar stage. And clearly you dont know what ER4s are if youre calling them shitty. While a headphone being open back might result in wider stage, the driver type in an iem has nothing to do with the stage...

Well that’s not good. I’ve been wearing earbuds at work, 6-7 hours a day, for quite a few years. And mine have to fight over the sound of heavy equipment. I get a hearing test annually, and my hearing has declined, but not much more than the average. Although I typically try to not blast it so loud that it’s going to do damage if I can help it. Actually I use Plugfones at work, they’re ear buds that double as ear plugs, so maybe that has something to do with it. And I keep a Bluetooth receiver in my pocket with a play/pause button and volume control so I can adjust at any time. But I have had incidents where I get tinnitus briefly and then it goes away. That’s probably how it starts huh? 🤦🏼 oh, also I typically don’t listen to music, I like audiobooks and documentaries. That probably makes a big difference.

@@chincemagnet I am not a doctor so I cannot say if it is safe or not. What I do know is that, unlike many other diseases, with Tinnitus, you will never get a warning sign. One day it is there, and there is nothing you can do to make it go away. I am glad you do regular hearing tests. If you ever do get Tinnitus, don't worry, it's probably normal. However, if you get Tinnitus more and more often, for example, once a month you should be careful as it might be a sign of hearing loss and chronic Tinnitus. Stay safe!
