The infinite mana via mysticism is still in the game. I play an Atronach build with max spell absorption and as long as you add a small amount of item teleknesis into each spell, you don't lose magicka, effectively making it so you never run out.

I need a detailed tutorial on how to get max spell absorption early in the game

@@JohnnyCaje it's a little time consuming, but I will share my method. First off, I play on max difficulty so my strat will be different. Step 1. Pick Atronach sign. That's 50%. Step 2. Farm mats for poisons, and power level conjuration for summons. Both of these scale with max difficulty meaning they are your best damaging abilities early game. Step 3. Complete the mages guild. You need access to spell creation. Or have wizard tower dlc. Frostcrag Spire. Step 4. Power level to 17 by training primary skills. Step 5. Head to Ceyatatar, it's an Aylied ruin west of imperial city. Around back of the entrance is a trap door. Save before entering. Once you enter there is a boss chest. It has a guaranteed magical item. If you enter and you don't want what is has, reset the game. And enter again. The loot will change. Do this until you have Helmet of the Mage (level 17). It has +20 magicka, and 14% spell absorption. Step 5. Power level until level 20. Now head back to Ceyatatar, and make sure at least 3 in game days have passed to reset the loot. Re-farm the boss chest for Sorcerers Ring (level 20) 25 magicka and 25% spell absorption. You should now be at 89% spell absorption. Step 6: go to mages guild and create a spell that does 5 damage in all magic schools over 1 second, follow by 100% weakness to those schools for 2 seconds. You can add a 1 second paralyze as well for CC. At the end of the spell, add a teleknesis spell that is equal to half of the cost of the spell. Your absorption will absorb the teleknesis and make the spell cost nothing. Make 2 copies of this spell. Step 7: go clear the Kvatch oblivion gate. Get to the sigil stone, save before it. And farm the sigil stone until you receive a +15 spell absorption transcendent sigil stone. Congratulations you now have 104% spell absorption, which in turn grants you infinite magicka, and makes all incoming spells do no damage and add magicka to your magicka pool.

im glad you did this video. I think you should include more original game sounds, in game chat with NPS and music. I really think that you could get a loyal base of 5-20k people that would follow a series about this original 1.0 version and its unique glitches etc. Oblivion Content is surprisingly relevant to those of us who grew up with the internet.

The first version I played. I preordered it when I was a kid and got it day of release. (When preorder meant something) I put over 2000 hours of my childhood into that gem. Altered my entire perception of games and what they should be. Edit: You gotta do the bow glitch to dupe items lol. I broke a few saves with thay boy. Covered bruma with saphires to the point the guards were wading through them and all the textures/items would crash it every time XD

You are still able to do the dorian gold glitch, on the most recent official version of oblivion. You can do what you did here, which resulted in that large amount of gold. Set up an auto clicker, if you want it to get more even faster. But yes, that's one thing that still works in the current version.

The arena out of bounds glitch still works to this day, same with the lucien lachance lockpick glitch and the scroll duplication glitch. One interesting thing I found back on the 360 is that it is actually possible to obtain the yellow team raiment by betting on a match and using paintbrushes to jump over the invisible wall, and then using even more paintbrushes to climb your way back up. In theory you could alter the outcome of the match this way too, thus scoring you 500 gold every time. A pain to set up, but it works. Plus, not sure many people can claim they got the yellow team raiment on the 360. I also once used the paintbrushes to climb to the top of the white-gold tower back when I had infinite time on my hands. Speaking back on the arena out of bounds glitch, if you have a high enough speed you can actually jump forward into the void and if you get far enough you will teleport into the yellow team gate before it ever goes down, and you can kill your opponent without them ever fighting back, it will alert the dark brotherhood though. I think the best use of the duplication glitch for gold very early on is going and fetching fingleam and just seeling it for 1000 a few times. Will basically speedrun owning the house in the waterfront which is pretty useful early on.

There was another dupe glitch similar to the bow dupe. It involved u swinging your sword then mid swing open inventory and drop the item u want to dupe. When the sword hit the item, it was duped, if i remember right it was just making a copy- so just a single copy of whatever u dropped. Man its been a while since oblivion, lets get some more!

Even though I didn't get to play Oblivion until like 2009, I still got to experience version 1.0 of Oblivion. I knew the PS3 GOTY version had a glitxh to where you couldnt complete the cure for vampirism but didnt know that the 360 version didn't have that glitch. I ended up going out of my way to get the base game and my game never got any patches or updates since I was too poor to afford a wifi adapter. Now I miss my 360 and bae Oblivion lol

I have an original limited edition copy :) EU copy pre-censoring too (Bethesda slipped EU standards screenshots that were more tame than some of the gore actually is). It came with a big manual, and a Septim. I think also a map? But that might be Morrowind. I think the Vampire healing quest is bugged in that version. So you can't cure Vampirism. The quest glitches and when you complete it either it doesn't complete or you're just not given the cure

Hindsight has its advantages, but it doesnt cover everything. For example, while its easy to look at Oblivions faults from our perspective now, I can tell you that at the time this game was very unique in its style and what it offered at the time of its release, and I was extremely well entertained and immersed in this game.
