165k 2016 model s 85D. Needed new discs and pads all round last year (corroded due to lack of use and lack of servicing). Some rear suspension components needed replaced at the same time as well as front track rod ends. Charge port wore out and needed replaced. The MCU1 computer is absolutely pants, crashes all the time and connectivity is poor. Plus the GPS goes off course when it’s been raining heavy (maybe water in the boot?). Other than that been absolutely flawless, still going strong. Comes off warranty in March.

@@chargeheadsuk I haven’t and to be honest I wouldn’t know how. But the 8 year warranty is up in March so I was thinking it might be worth it, or a waste of money? It averages about 350wh/m so nowhere near as efficient as the new cars but it’s holding together.

Great video as you said there is some rubbish on the web by people and Ev haters. I do believe the best way to extend the life of the batteries is to avoid rapid charging we’re possible charging at home overnight only using them when really necessary. And that goes for all Ev’s and definitely don’t charge to 100% and leave it at that state of charge for long periods. Charge to 100 % then drive off.

It is amazing that the battery makers dont make it possible for the bms to just ignore a bad cell so the car can continue being used.

Well Andy's black one has done 227k now same battery and motors. Best to do a battery test I'd say before buying one. There are two battery test methids on the channel. So far the model 3 has got a great record for reliability.

My model 3 long range I just turned over a hundred thousand just bought it last year with 43,000 I do Uber and so I put some miles on through the car I got a charger at the house I don't try to do the supercharger that much but since 2018 since the car has been built there has been nothing done to it except one tire change from the people that I bought it from at the dealership and then my own tire change after 40,000 that I put on to it and that's about it so far it does have the notorious Tesla squeak in the front suspension and so I got a service call to put in the upper control arms 223 which I don't think is too bad if that's the only money after spend on it after all that time
