A unique greatsword moveset for Helphen’s Steeple with a new unique skill, “Ruinous Ghostblade”.
This mod gives Helphen's Steeple a unique and more dynamic moveset that gives the weapon a bit more personality.
This version of Helphen's Steeple replaces the Zamor Curved Sword.
It also messes with the physics of the Glintstone Pebble and Ghostflame Ignition skills. If you download this mod, expect these skills to behave weirdly.

But there's a few alternate mods if you're looking for something similar, imo Sword Mastery - Total Combat Overhaul is the best one since it has a lot of new/cool movesets for other weapons too.

I love that it has the Curved Greatsword attacks for most of the attacks. Curved Greatswords are my favorite "heavy" weapon type since they have such an acrobatic moveset.

I've always been fascinated by the idea of a life draining weapon in these games and Elden ring got really close with talismans like the godskin swaddling cloth and ash of war blood tax but I still feel like it never became fully realized. Id love to see a weapon mod that fully realizes the fantasy of a vampiric kind of weapon/playstyle cuz I would download the hell out of a mod like that. This greatsword is awesome btw.

Man, having the last attack of a R1 combo (and fully charged R2) do something extra, adding some special effect, makes the weapon moveset stand out so much more, I'm honestly surprised FS didn't do that to every unique/special weapon in the game, it could have been an incredible and entertaining detail, great video

You (the default Greatsword moveset and Ruinous Ghostflame) vs the guy she told you not to worry about (this mod) Now, seriously, this is fantastic, especially the reworked WA. So many possibilities for an engaging and fluid combat, and on a character it looks like the guy actually knows how to wield a sword and kill things with itas opposed to the default moveset. Rusty, your weapon reworks mords are a blessed blast, keep 'em up! Would absolutely love to see more of those! For example, a small rework of Morgott's Cursed Sword approaching the way Morgott uses it himself would be awesome, I think.

I do have a few critiques for any future new movesets you do, as Im beginning to see some patterns with these. Please, slow down some of the attack animations swings. The animations dont look very good at such a high speed, and it feels far less impactful than a greatsword should be. More importantly: PLEASE STOP REMOVING THE WEAPON BUFFS. Your removing the actual uniqueness of the weapons and making what is effectively a completely different weapon using the same model and a similar concept. Same thing with changing the magic damage of the steeple; Not every weapon is supposed to be good against every enemy. Its a magic greatsword, effectively the counterpart of the holy inseparable sword. Its supposed to not do well against magically immune enemies. Thats what infusions, especially cold, are designed for. I also really love the bonus ghostflame and ice lightning flourishes on charged heavies/the ends of attack chains, but perhaps you could make it more like the ringed knight spear; the skill is a buff attack, and then it augments the moveset once buffed. And lastly: Stop overdoing the weapon skills. Please. I respect if you like making these super flashy skills, but there is a reason they dont exist in the game. Something slightly more toned down would fit far better in the game. An example for the dragon-scale blade could have been: Pressing the weapon skill uses the Hoarfrost stomp skill animation, and summons a large number of ice lightning bolts in a cone infront of the user (Like the actual spell) and then following this up does the original weapon skill and buff. I love giving unique weapons the love they deserve, but the way you are going about it fundamentally destroys the base concepts of these weapons; you arent making a "V2" Your making an entirely new weapon. Also, this is more an issue with the last video on the dragonscale blade; but there are legitimate reasons it doesnt have lightning damage. Frost lightning is a far weaker "False" lightning. The dragon halberd doesnt have any lightning damage either, and it legitimately makes sense from a lore perspective. Love your work though; these movesets sure look cool, I just worry that they loose the identity of the original weapon.

How about you let the dude make what he wants to make. If you don't like it, then make something you think is more accurate. Takes like these are why we always have bosses with cool, flashy combos especially in ER and the player char get one "super exciting" L2 and the rest is the same boring moveset as the regular weapons. This gives the weapon more identity, it doesn't take it away.

@@sivert1216 By removing the aspects that make a weapon unique, you inherently remove its base identity. It doesnt matter if its "cooler", it still becomes a fundamentally different weapon. I think there should be far more unique movesets, but its amusing how you criticize the "super exciting" L2 attacks when the main draw of these weapon reworks ends up being the INSANE looking L2s. Me commenting on the fact that the animation speed is too high to look good and that some of the bonus visual effects should only trigger at certain times doesnt mean "Remove all special movesets!!!!" My favorite weapon in the game is the meteoric ore blade, specifically due to its unique R2. Its fine to disagree with a take, but the fact that you think me giving my opinion is somehow preventing someone from making what they want to make is hilarious. How about you let the devs make what they want to make! If you dont like it, make a game that you think has cooler movesets. See how bad that argument ends up being?

I love the fact that you're making the unique weapons more unique. I love the dragonscale blade. And would love to see more like it. The Bolt of Gansax or Dragonking Cragblade come to mind as weapons I would love to see harness their dragon nature more.

I think the usage of these effects in the main combo of the weapons is a highly overlooked feature. It adds so much more flavour to the weapon that reinforces its status as a unique weapon rather than just another swing back and forth blade.

first of all, amazing job with the movesets you've made, I'd definitely love to download the mods if available I know nothing about modding and adjusting animation speed etc. so I dont know how much could be done but I think I have some constructive criticism (also purely subjective so feel free to ignore): - at the start of the first 2h light attack the character really quickly moves the whole body for the windup - in the twohanded ligh chain, it looks a bit weird when the character lets one hand off the weapon for a split second at attack 3, making the swing a bit tighter but leaving both hands on the weapon would look better imo - the second attack in the 1h heavy chain starts a bit too soon after the first - the spin on the 2h heavy attack looks unnaturally fast - all the animations of the weapon art look amazing but also a little bit too fast, especially the blade swings, maybe 10% or so as I said, great job, love to see so much creativity and your videos are great as always, keep it up ;)

Suggestion for you if your up for it. The most disappointing weapon in the game for me was the dragonic tree sentinels axe as all the cool stuff he can do with it, you cant. You cant even use vykes dragonbolt on it to mimic the red lightning. I feel like that one would be a super cool one to customize if your down for it.

Don't even know if you're reading this, but it'd be cool if you could give Devourer's Sceptre a retooling. It's such an awesome weapon with great lore and a really interesting ability. And it's a legendary armament that's supposed to be the symbol of the Lord of Blasphemy, and it absolutely sucks ass. Barely does any damage, even with 70+ poise you get knocked right out of it with a light poke, and it's ash of war takes way too long to use. Blasphemous Blade does pretty much everything it does and more, while also being better in every way. Heals on AoW hits, faster Ash, gives actual hyper armor (at least more than DS does), and it heals on kills as well.

I always felt like greatsword movesets were just horribly boring. Especially in Elden Ring where we have Morgott pulling DMCV combos on us, Malenia’s Waterfowl Dance, Malekith triple jumping somersault blade projectiles, and dragons with lightning swords. Movesets like this is what I honestly expect from From Software going forward. These are the kinds of movesets that would make me use a singular weapon for the entire game, just for style alone. Hell, I’d even prefer less weapons if the majority of them had unique movesets (Bloodborne, basically).

It broke my heart how utterly useless death magic is. It all looks awesome and sounds cool but the damage even when you are fully specked out for it is meh at best.

I think it's more a side effect of how many spell schools there are with barely spells in them...most have like 5. Seriously wtf is the point of the crystal staff passive that relegates you to using like 5 niche crystal sorceries when only 2 are good in PvE, same for death spells but they only get ONE good one. Same applies to gravity magic if Rock Sling wasn't so busted.
