You accidentally got the gentlest permanent dye in the drugstore. Revlon Colorsilk uses a 20 vol developer and is ammonia free; the others (Clairol/ Garnier/ L'Oreal) all have 30 vol developer and lots of ammonia. You did good!

Im so glad to hear that- I've been a big fan of the Revlon dye brand since I was a teenager- both for the cost, and the fact I didn't feel like I was going to suffocate while using it. Plus it works super fast on my very thin hair type! I never knew it was so gentle! Thank you so much for the info- and thanks for watching 😁💛

Am I the only one who thinks the roots turned out too orange? When you have dark brown hair that's to be expected. I just think it looked better before. 😧 It looked even at the end but a little too short.

I found my roots to be a bit orange as well, so a week later I went in and re-lightened them! It looked much better a little more platinum!
