From what I've heard, there are over 70 bosses in total. To put it in perspective, Dark Souls 3 has 25 bosses if you include DLC bosses.

The invisible wall is different you notice how it rippled when he ran into it. Its actually a spatial lock preventing you from leaving the area the boss has sealed the space you are in so you cant leave. Its quite common in most chinese mythology related media
