Excellent reaction as always. I’m glad I finally saw a reactor make a relationship between Alice in Wonderland and the position of the “guests” to this tea party that nobody would want to go to the chaos of war. Very insightful to see the eventual lightening of the music to break up the harshness of the rest of the song. Another of my favorite songs. Ty again.

Man, around 13:00 at the very end of the song, experiencing this anew again vicariously through you brought me to tears... much as the song did probably the third or fourth time I heard it, once the newness had eased. These are artists. Every bit as profound and momentous, in my opinion, as Beethoven or Rachmaninoff or Monet. There's a lot of really cool metal right now... some really fun stuff like Eskimo Callboy, some peak talents like Unprocessed, some soul-shatteringly extreme like Slaughter to Prevail. Some of them will still play on the radio, or stream, for decades to come. Some will be forgotten when the next new idea comes along. But a century from now? Two centuries? People will still know the name Jinjer.

Interesting take on the tea party. I have always seen it as something happening in the mind of a child, when parents don't want to divulge all the attrocities that happen in a war. They're wearing masks and put up a brave face for the child, and the one lying down could be a dead relative who has died in the war with the parents saying that that person has passed away, but is still with us. I can be completely off with this, but that's what I see. This is one of my top 3 songs by Jinjer, ever. Keep up the good work, hope you get better soon.

Even though it was written in 2019 about the chronic fighting against the Russian back separatists in their homeland of the Donetsk region in Eastern Ukraine, the lyrics and visuals in the video have significantly increased meaning since Putin's brutal, inhumane and illegal all-out invasion of their country. Good review, I'd add that also lyrically the creepy disturbing stuff is hidden within the softer part. There are some illusions in the first part and some message with bits of light in the last part. But soft part is the darkest. I wonder if the music for this track was written before the lyrics (which is the usual flow for Jinjer), I can't believe that it could be anything but this topic and these lyrics. Also the video, they sing about beds cold as basement floor and the footage features TVs - that's pretty much how civilians who stayed there lived during the fighting - hiding all together in the basement shelters and laying out cables to bring TVs and other stuff. Children of course there (to me the masks are also somewhat a reference to childhood in such conditions), very f#cked up, but some older people in the apartment houses couldn't go down so just stayed in their rooms.

Tatiana has a super-human ability to make almost any lyrics fit almost any rhythm. Often, one doesn't notice just how much skill is involved until one tries to read back the lyrics in the same rhythm. The psychotic jazzy tea party is a prefect example. An amusing thought occurred to me: I'd wager that the phrase 'psychotic jazzy tea party' has never been more used in human history than it has since this video was released.

That middle "calm" section isn't really a bossa nova, although there are some similarities. It's in a fast 7-beat, which is fairly common in dance forms around eastern Europe/Turkey/Ukraine. I understand that in dance terms, it's a "fast-fast-slow" step pattern. (i.e., 2+2+3)

Also for couple of days before there were some messages about possible false flag operations to use as reason to launch an assault planned exactly for 19th (a religious holiday here).
