i like to mess around with tarot cards sometimes and honestly if you think about them as being able to actually tell the future youre doing it wrong imo. each of the cards represent some meaning pertaining to life on this crazy planet and when i pull a card i use that meaning to reflect on things im ignoring or not realizing about my current situation. like say i havent been out of my house in awhile and i pull the hermit card, i'd think "yea youre right i probably should get out more". thats why tarot only "works" when you ask it about specific things like advice about some situation, and make sure you explain that situation clearly to whoever is doing the reading if youre not doing it yourself. the whole process is a lot more psychological than it is magical and the answers you get are more like suggestions than concrete predictions. the tarot is just a tool to bring thoughts and ideas up out out of our subconscious so we can analyze them consciously. if you want to get a good tarot reading you need to either get one from someone thats good at giving advice to begin with or just do one for yourself because only you can fully interpret how the meaning of the cards can possibly resemble whats going on in your own life. our brains are pattern recognizing machines and most of the time we already know what needs to be done to make something better, but are too scared, stubborn, or whatever else to actually do it. tarot is like a wake up call to our brains that says "you already know what to do, so do it!"
