Everywhere I have been, which is 40+ countries, everyone has been genuine and accepting of these Scandinavian cultural traits. Most Asian countries actually prefer Scandinavians as customers. It might be because Scandinavians usually have deep pockets, but also because Scandinavians will tell you exactly what they want and won't complain when they get it. Had this explained to me on my 5th visit to Thailand, got told the same thing in Cambodia, Sri Lanka and India. Yes, I did ask the other places, I wanted to know if it was a universal thing, where Scandinavians are common among tourists.
