I'm rewatching this video 5 months later and i'm realizing that I WAS SUCH A NOOB when it came to bunny care. Please excuse my dumb mistakes in this video. I encourage you guys to check out recent videos featuring milo as my bunny care has improved dramatically. Here are some links: - morning routine with milo:kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZa1colsibBshLs - milo's set up: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXO3koOfhpuEfLc - milo's baby bunny morning routine:kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep_Of36Lj9xqbLs I don't know WHY i bough that ratchet dog rake brush (what was i thinking) now i use the hair buster. I also DO NOT USE PINE SHAVINGS. I only use paper litter bedding dye and dust free since it's the softest on milo's feet to prevent sore hocks. I also do not use a cage i have a big rug for him to have his space and also allow him to free roam my room. Sorry for being so dumb when i first got him, i never had a pet before and i was so nervous.

Honestly for a first time pet owner I think you did good 👍 there’s a lot of people out there who will keep them in a hutch outside which is not ok and you are learning as you go because your doing more and more research as time goes on but most people think “it’s a small animal it doesn’t need much space” which is wrong I mean look at us we are also small compared to the whole world which is technically are cage because we can’t really get off it you know but just imagine being stuck it a space only as big as half of your room for the rest of your life that would be miserable right with no toys limited types of food and that’s what most people are doing to these animals but you are a good person who actually does research and listens to others people advice unlike the other people who don’t

I have bunnies and honestly i think that you did well for a first time bunny owner and im glad you found out more and actually changed to what he needed as some owners would just put them in a hutch outside and leave them there! ❤ Also i love the name! 🥺

Not dumb at all! We can only endeavor to learn and improve our care for our furry family members. My only comment is to think about adopting in the future, there is many rabbits in shelters and rescues who deserve a good home too!

I think pets are really good for your emotional wellbeing. I mean they are so good for reducing anxiety and whenever you feel down you can just go to them no matter how you feel. They never judge you or anything they always love you. So yeah kinda my thoughts on pets. Btw he's pretty cute🙂.

So cute! As a bunny-lover myself, there is two things I have to mention. Pine and cedar shavings should be AVOIDED! Aspen is a much safer alternative. Also, Milo could easily jump out of that cage if he wanted, so be careful. Other than that you are doing great, and welcome to the bunny community! 🙂💕🐰

I recently found out from the Indiana House Rabbit Society Aspen should also be avoided but paper baced bedding as long as it doesn't have baking soda is fine and like pine wood stove pellets as long as they don't have the added chemical that is supposed to make it burn better also kaytee soft granule bedding is good make sure it's the unscented I plan on using it along with paper based pellets litter and have a dig box for added enrichment with fluffy paper based bedding I'm looking at the one from small pet select and the Kaytee Clean and cozy the one without baking soda just a few helpful tips to anyone that is looking into getting a rabbit

I've had my bunny for 4 years and definitely learned a lot! I would recommend switching to a recycled paper litter (I use the Living World brand), a good brush is important for adult bunnies and I totally recommend the Hair Buster for Cats and Rabbits (it's amazing and doesn't hurt their skin)

Just to let you know that not all workers in pet shops are properly educated on pet care and what will be better for them. Most just follow a set of things that they’ve been taught to tell you in order to sell more animals and products. This makes them look like a better company that care more about animals then they actually do. I highly recommend doing your own research online and looking at multiple sources. This will be more reliable then any worker in a pet store. (In reference to the pine bedding) however the cage isn’t a bad size but is way to low, he may stay in there for now but in a couple of weeks will easily be able to jump out( bare in mind some rabbits can leap up to 3 feet) good luck with your adorable bunny xx

Omg your such a good bunny owner sometimes when I watch these type of videos they are really bad at it and they stress the bunny out but when you saw he wasn’t pooping just to make sure your bunny was ok ✨🥺 one thing that I recommend is not giving him alpha hay bc it has no fiber and fiber helps milo poop so that could also be the reason why he wasn’t pooping ✨✌️

I ve got my baby boy bunny last August, just to inform you prep your room make sure cables are away ect cause eventually he will jump over his cage. I got my Nelly a puppy pen and my god he manage to jump out of that not once but twice. The last time he jumped into our fire place which luckily we dont use. I had done 12 hour shift at work and almost had a heart attack thinking we lost him. Now he free roams the whole house, and he loves it. right now he laid at the end of my bed.

@estkk13264 жыл бұрын
Hi I as well have a bunny I can definitely tell that he is already comfortable with you I do have a few recommendations. For the litter I would get some pellets like cat litter another thing is I definitely recommend free roaming because they love to run all the time if you look up Lennon the bunny she has a lot about free roaming on there. And finally I recommend that you give him pellets daily it should be 1/4 cup for every 5 pounds and definitely switch to Timothy hay only because that’s what they need as they are older alfalfa hay is good when you to fatten them up more.
