I find stuff like this so funny. I have a lot of Dermatologists in my family and they all agree on the same principles: the simpler the better for your skin. I have about 5 products in my entire skincare regime and I don’t use a physical exfoliant. There’s so much unnecessary products etc for skin and the beauty market totally capitalises on selling you a dream. Honestly, take it from me, you really don’t need much for great skin.

I agree with you I feel like all the fancy products are just a way to make more money tbh.
@haute036 жыл бұрын
Agreed. When it comes to products you really don't need much. If anything taking care of your overall health (i.e., basic cleanliness/hygiene, good eating habits, tending to your emotional health, etc.) is the best way to get good skin.
@asentientgoose6 жыл бұрын
I have a oil cleanser (to remove makeup), a gentle cleanser to use after my oil cleanser and for my morning face wash, an olive squalene serum, a simple day moisturiser and a richer night moisturiser. And you could get most of these products drugstore. I treat myself to a chemical exfoliant monthly. Physical exfoliants (the ones with beads in them) actually disrupts your skins natural barrier - your skins natural function exists for a reason, work in harmony with it. I totally agree with @haute03 - skin should be in conjunction with your diet and lifestyle: 50% diet etc and 50% skincare routine. Oh and I'm 22, and my skin type is literally everything, but mainly combo + very sensitive! Hope this helps x

Glad you showed this facial. I think it is completely bogus & ridiculous to slap & pull at skin like that but really glad that you showed us this. And those silly IV bags just shows to what extent they’ll go to make it look as if their facial is “important” & doing clinical things to your skin. Emphasizes to me that they’re more focused on gimmickry. Thank you for helping me see where I should not spend my money

@@mhurtou I think the difference is that sponsorship means Refinery would get paid for doing this and pushed to be positive about the shop. Mi Anne just said they were invited so they probably scheduled her appointment at a time convenient for her and let the whole camera crew in. Plus, you can actually buy that brass rolling tool for like $15 and the white vibrating tool you can get at Sephora. I would want the face masseuse to wear gloves, because even if she washed her hands well, there are still oils that can cause acne on her hands, especially considering that she will be vigorously rubbing your face for an hour.
@TheOnlyGHero095 жыл бұрын
That white tool isn't vibrating. It's literally sending electrical pulses to the muscles in your face, which is why you shouldn't get it if you have any metal in your body, as you could be electrocuted. Also, as long as she's washed with soap, I assure you that her hands won't be a problem.
