Carpentry tip: Home Depot has what’s called ‘easy outs’ which are bits for stripped screws, the dremel I usually use a thin wheel to cut a straight line to use a straight screw driver. If you can’t find easy outs what you need are bits with a reverse thread so that it will bite when you spin it out. Sometimes you can find them in a kit also

I have an Aztec gold strat looks just like that without the gold hardware and it doesn’t have the rosewood fret board it was a 60th anniversary addition I believe , I walked in guitar center and high up on the wall they had the gold and a off white one with rosewood fretboard , I bought both cause they had them marked down to 900 bucks. Still have them in their cases. Great USA made strats.

Agreed, with the reflections eliminated you could more easily see the surface relic job. Years ago I was involved with product photography and can attest it is really difficult to capture an accurate view/image. I think most people (myself included) take for granted how much better most everything looks in-person. These last few years it sometimes seems like most everything we view has been on a computer monitor or TV (or even a phone/tablet). The human devolution of visual information!

Yes, get two pieces stitched together and drape the table. The strip on the edge of the cloth is called a “selvedge” and is part of the manufacturing process of all cloth. Get someone with a professional sewing machine. (Dry cleaners?) to sew the peices together and you will get a seamless effect.

I like the cordless rechargeable Dremel tools. Not as powerful but they don’t scream as loud. Much better for stuff like polishing frets and around the house kind of work.
@murmur39662 жыл бұрын
Hello Hello!! You could do a hinged three panel mini photo booth and have the material on the table to lay the guitars or pretty parts down on. I did that with a leatherwork table, then I folded in the two sides and tucked it in a corner when I wasn't taking pictures. (the height is same as width of the blk. material) Works like a mini studio and you can lay it on the floor if there is stuff on the work table. LOL Easy peasy.

Hey trogly you should check out/review some of the cheap $30 tp-6 tailpiece copies sold under the guyker brand on Amazon, I believe they're probably made in the same factory that made the Epiphone labeled ones that where on the Epiphone BB King Lucille models and they are pretty decent for the money but it would be neat to see someone that has all this vintage parts knowledge that you only get from experience do a comparison between the genuine ones the reissues and those.

Have a 1999 Swamp Ash Special and though I thought I would love it, I have come to liking my Strat, Frankenstrat and Les Paul far more. The PRS wide/fat neck is uncomfortable after a while. I also don't like the McCarty pups.
@hkguitar19842 жыл бұрын
@@alwaysopen7970 IMHO, Guitars are like people, each one should be evaluated individually. Just like any other builder PRS has many different neck profiles and pickups. I just got a new Telecaster and the neck measures 1.10" at the 12th Fret, to say it is chunky would be a gross understatement! Point being, my other Tele has a pretty thin neck. How about the Ash body of that PRS, I always liked the look of those.
