I think this is what baseball players do so well...shallowing the club. Watched some b-ball hitting videos, describing this and started making a few practice swings at waist high, where it’s easier to feel club head shallowing then hit the ball and my contact was instantly better.

I think it's about time you really worked hard to give yourself the best chance at "making it". Your "sucky swing" is far better than most peoples best swing. I'm still very new to golf. Just started really taking it seriously last March. Watching you improve makes me want to immediately go to the range and work on my own swing. I know the advice you get here won't apply to my swing, but just the energy of getting better at golf is so infectious!
@michaeljaks57203 жыл бұрын
I actually don't think it's a matter of not taking it serious. It's lack of knowledge of the swing combined with raw effortless talent. Great to see G investing in wellness and learning the cause and effect of swing plane variability. The numbers will be second nature very soon.
@vahag253 жыл бұрын
“Style is function, function is style” ... After filtering through bad information, and getting the right knowledge; then it’s a matter of function, and body awareness for the full swing. Improving that would be improving body alignment, posture, muscle function, and flexibility.

Not so easy to do when lots of what works on these channels would not be labeled serious golf. But I do agree that Garrett has the talent to improve his game to near or at pro level. He already has a pretty darn good short game that shows in many of these videos. Should be fun to watch. Como most known for being the guy Tiger went to for some help after he left Foley. Tiger was just often hurt during that period. So their partnership could basically be labeled incomplete.

looks a lot like Tom Saguto and the stack-and-tilt, then you have Kyle telling Bryson to not be afraid to move slightly right with the back swing, still resembling stack-and-tilt; Garret should try a steeper shoulder tilt pointing the left shoulder more on line and towards the ball, this would cause his left arm to be in line with his right shoulder at the top of the back swing... (just thinking out loud)
