My husband is a huge fan of yours! He watches y'all all the time. I'm in and out. But!! I am seriously impressed with your level of humility! The amount of love you showed Floyd, Floyds farmer, and then all farmers!! It was nice to see. And then the way you handled using the gravy packet in place of flour... 👍 Perfect!! Maybe one of these days we'll take a trip over to your side of the country (we're in AZ) and my hubby can shake your hand. You've helped open our families eyes to a completely different way of living! One we hope to live one day. 😊💜

Nice deer, glad it didn't fall into the creek, that would have been a pain in the butt. Maverick is way to precious, look forward to seeing his training and growth. That meat cooking at 250 degrees was making my mouth water. could you imagine if you added mushrooms / potatoes and onions in there. Either way i need a plate lol. Good times as always and i loved the processing video, i always find that part to be just as important as the hunt itself. God Bless and Have a great weekend everyone.

Beautiful deer country! If I remember correctly, Chester is (or was) home to Menard State Prison where "Old Sparky" was in use years ago. I was born and raised in Southern Illinois and hunted in Jackson County (52+ deer/sq. mi.). There is (or was) two gun seasons each 3 days. One occurring the weekend before Thanksgiving, the other the weekend before Christmas. Southern Illinois has a SERIOUS overpopulation of deer and it's not understood by anyone why the gun season isn't changed to better control the population. Just recently, the Department of Game and Fish Commission introduced the apex predator Mountain Lion to begin the necessary natural control of this beautiful animal that is responsible for untold vehicle accidents and the many human deaths from those collisions. Well done on the taking of a beautiful 8-point, Robert. Thanks for sharing your experience in the Land of Lincoln.

So, I know the Everglades seasoning is amazing and it’s promoted…. Snag yourself some Daddy Hinkles Southwest marinade… it’s a 2 part marinade… 20 min is all….. has a liquid (like Worcestershire) put the meat in the ziplock, take it out, sprinkle the dry rub on it, let it sit for another 15-20, grill it up…. Sooooo good on venison….

I also have my own chili recipe that I like and I’ll seer the meat first on the grill then dice it up and add it to the chili and slow cook it for about an hour till it’s tender. I gotta try the slow roast, I was never a venison roast fan, but you may have sold me on that one!

Put the cube steak in a crock pot or slow cooker. Make gravy from where the steak was browned. Leave the gravy a little thick and pour over the the cube steak. Add a can of Rotell tomatoes, mild or hot and let it all slow cook together till the steak is fall apart tender.
