I love seeing this trail! I can't believe you guys rode that much of it blind without scouting it first! Alex and Jordan did this one together awhile back in much better conditions. So on this one, we had Jeff with "top tube circa 2013 Blair Witch cam," and Logan with "disappearing terrain cam," from the high gimbal angle. GET THE NEW KALI full face helmet that flows CRAZY air, and slap the Hero 7 on the chin bar, and be done with it!! It's the best angle, easiest to manage, and neither of your will ever look back! :-) Despite the challenges, I watched it start to finish, and LOVED the extended follow cam You guys absolutely need to do more of that, so we see more of the trail. Mix in some quick off the bike shots of the crazy good riding, and that's going to be a deadly combo.
@JeffKendallWeed4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the note Charles! Hahaha I'm running the Hero 8 on the chest mount, agree with you on the chin bar mount for the new Kali helmet! I've had great luck with the chinbar mount while filming motos and also used that angle with Danica. Stay tuned, we have a few more vids like this to come soon!!!

@fademasterfade2274 жыл бұрын
The riding is fairly difficult in general but there are a fair number of reasonable blue trails on Fromme and Seymour. Double Black on the North Shore is no joke; most riders should not attempt unless they enjoy walking around features.
@JeffKendallWeed4 жыл бұрын
Scott, there are some more family/kid friendly trails but I honestly haven't yet looked for them. My daughter just turned 3 so she is still mostly riding new locations on the Mac Ride with me. This trail was rated double black, and my wife, who is a world champion XC racer, would not have wanted to ride it.

@gogovitch664 жыл бұрын
A gimbal is always killing a lot of gnar and steepness. But if you rode and filmed such steep stuff yourself, you start to pay attention to other details (like the inclination of trees or the riders position on the bike etc) But the trail looks super sweet. Thx 4 sharing 👊🏽
@JeffKendallWeed4 жыл бұрын

I did a whole video about the Ripmo, it went live last Tuesday. The Ripmo was fantastic for this riding. The slacker head angle and more progressive rear suspension were very composed on the steep stuff, and the overall balance of the bike was a lot better than the V1. This was my second or third day on the Ripmpo, and to me I felt more comfortable on the bike than I was with the V1 when we filmed the Ladies Only video.

Ha! I thought the 29 was pretty good! Traction wasn't that terrible for a wet day in the middle of winter. Honestly this type of riding is pretty good with the Trust fork too. It's a lot of landing while hard on the brakes. The fork does great in that sort of scenario. For me it's more predictable than the old telescopers were in that instance.
