Brother I'm actually proud of the humility and honesty. I finished tournaments for years in South Carolina and had to have licenses in every state that bordered each lake and it's hard to keep up with. I'm also happy that the other influencers we're kind enough to wait until they got all the information and didn't just jump on with both feet with inaccurate accusations. What honesty? Either you had a fishing license or you didn't when you caught the fish. Licenses expire in Texas on August 31 so if you didn't you were probably fishing without a license for half the year. It's not like this is a border water confusion of the law. He is a Texas resident and was fishing in Texas FFS.

​@@carlsutherland3730 back when I was fishing tournaments on I think it was Strom Thurmond they changed the name to something we had to have a Georgia license and a South Carolina license and I think know it wasn't heartwell . But there were tournaments where I had to have a Florida Georgia license in South Carolina Georgia license Davie heights was in my Bass club back in the day lake Murray bassmasters and my parents sell the house on lake wateree in Hank Parker used to fish over there a lot and I used to talk to him all the time

I fished for a year without a valid license. I have three that cover the entire lake and not a single one was valid. I was fishing with a friend at Guntersville and we saw the warden checking another boat. I pulled out my phone to have my license handy and it was out of date over a year. I quickly did the renew online and when checked my license was valid :-) Thank goodness I was in an area of good cell service!

Yep,he wrote down a false fishing license number on the submission,just made up a number because he didn’t have a valid one,he’s got everyone thinking that he was fishing with an expired 2023 license in the year 2024 and he “forgot “ to renew it,that’s not the case that’s why he’s charged with fraud in a fishing tournament and not fishing in a tournament without a license,there is a big difference

Do you live in Texas? I do. I went to go fishing one day about 6 months ago so I opened my Texas PArks and Wildlife app on my phone. The app said my license was "active".....I thought about it for a few minutes and it didnt sound right. When I got to the lake I opened up the application and clicked on the 2024 year and it still said active even though it showed my expiration date which was expired. I'm not a ditch pickle guy. I think bass fisherman are kind of assholes. TPWD isnt a perfect system. No way a guy like Milliken was trying to submit a trophy bass knowingly on a expired license. Mistakes happen and loser/haters like you show up and pile on his mistake.

Bruh! Shit happens. I've been fishing since I was 13 (1989) and 30+ years later, I've still forgotten to renew my license at times. Hell, just the other day I had to renew because I forgot because I hadn't gone fishing in quite a while because of work. This reminds me of the time I caught a tagged bass for the BassCashBash that was bedding and I had to let her go, register, and spent a week trying to recatch her off the bed to get the tag. My cousin and I were fishing the beach for sea-run cutthroat in the Puget Sound and about 2 hours into the trip, I mentioned how much the fresh/salt combo license cost at the time. He then said "Oh Shit!" I forgot to get my saltwater license. I had to let him use my truck to find a place to get one. While he was gone a game warden came walking up to me and saw all my cousins gear along with mine and asked where the other guy was. I told him we had just walked in when he had realized he had forgotten to get his saltwater license and took off to get one. He said if he would have caught him fishing my cousin would have had to tell a judge his story. Bottom line, with all the enhancements they put on fishing licenses nowadays, anyone could forget something that could land them in hot water. No explanation needed for me. Get after um🎣

There was a guy that submitted a legacy class SAL on Lake Athens last spring (February 19th to be exact) that didn't have a valid fishing license. Within a few hours of the submission, it was deemed NOT a legal SAL and everybody went their separate ways. Was he charged/arrested? Nope!

i love toledo bend. family has been fortunate to own a camp house on the south side around 6 mile so been fishing it longer than i can remember. it was really nice before it was labeled best bass fishing lake and everybody was crowding rayburn. got a lot more traffic i just wish sabine river authority would update the boat lanes bc there are a few markers that have drifted a good bit and the markers themselves dont have the correct markings on them like they are suppose to.

I have been watching you ever since you were fishing ponds and reservoirs from shore, you have come a long way and from what i've seen, you've earned everything you have got out of this sport. A true ambassador to the sport and someone who so many young up and comers look up to as a mentor and inspires so many to reach for their goals... The one time I didn't have my license was on a fishing trip for bass at night. Warden pulls up and asked for my license. I remembered seeing my dad's license in the top of the tackle box just before dark so I pulled his out, the warden shined his light on it just looking for the color of them and pulled off. I haven't left them at home ever since.
