The artistry, time and effort put into these braids. Insane people would ever consider this less than professional! Beautiful hair.

I don’t know why people think braids aren’t professional or even banned from some schools. (Not her, others) It’s beautiful, neat, clean and protective. I feel like I’m missing something when I hear things like that.
@emman27502 жыл бұрын
There are schools who only allow natural hair, no styles at all. It’s just the look the school wants to perceive.

Because the world is racist. It’s really simple. Anything connected to blackness is considered less than or “ghetto” until others do it. Then it suddenly becomes trendy. It’s 2022 you shouldn’t need this explained to you.

Braided hair styles look so freaking beautiful and sophisticated. I just love them so much and can't wrap my head around the hate and prejudice it gets. Also, I never in my life saw someone with braids at work and thought to myself wow they are so unprofessional, how dare they wear something like that. So, if you are reading this please don't feel bad or insecure about wearing your gorgeous braids at work or in a business setting. ♥

Yessss!! So fly! I love that Najah is into brown. It’s such an underrated color. Kia did a great job! I love the trick of preventing the braids from buckling - I’ve seen so many buckled braids! 🙁 thanks for putting us on, Kia! Also, I love that she is left handed! 🥳🥳🥳

Beautiful style I remember having braids like this my aunt used to do when I was a little girl in the '70s so it's not new. They just taking it from the 60s and the 70s and bringing them back. It's fun but it's even better when you mix different 😇💯‼️🥰♥️🖤💛💚😎 colors brings a lot of fun for the braids I say if a person's job or school has a problem in them wearing their hair braided they need to get a lawyer and Sue because this is discrimination California enacted a law in New York has enacted a law against, discriminating against a person based on their natural hair texture or how they wear it whether it's a afro braids locks etc I said that ever happens you need to sue stop the oppression and standard WS racist antics and discrimination policies in workplace schools etc. 🤦🏻♀️🤬🥴👎🏼 Beautiful style on a gorgeous lady happy wonderful 2022

It always surprises me to learn that black women have struggled to have braids accepted as professional. Braids are my signature style, the hairstyle that makes me feel most myself, and definitely the style I grew up wearing. I never had a problem in school or work with my braids as a hairstyle - I actually feel like they're universally loved and it's the most "professional" (which is already a loaded term, but here I use it to mean clean and low fuss) out of all the hairstyles I rock.
