Was in the Army, but would see this first hand. Navy/Marines ALWAYS on each other’s asses, but let an Army soldier interject. You see how quick Navy/Marine gang up on the Army soldier. All in good fun though. The rivalry is what makes you train even harder, to be try to be even better. When it’s time to punch the time card, all that rivalry shit is non-existent. One team, one goal.

I'm a Marine myself and I can only speak on my experience which is: your physical strength has nothing to do with the branch but it has to do with your own motivation to stay in shape, yes pt is challenging but you can skate the whole thing if you wanted it, it's all on your own effort how much work you want to put in on your own time

Definitely keep this going, it would be an awesome competition to start up in the future. Theres definitely potential for this, I can't see why the military wouldn't want to start a friendly head to head comp between our branches(none that I know of yet). Maybe some kind of bracket style competition (something like The Rocks Titan show) This would be a huge motivation for others to get in a routine and regiment to train for these competitions. To represent there branch and build a strong camaraderie in our military.

Lets be honest here the Marine Corps PFT and any military fitness test is a joke. It always blew my mind how much men struggled from boot camp to the fleet. 18min 3 mile, 20 pull ups and 100 crunches for a perfect score was and still is a cake walk. I loved hearing the excuse you’re lighter than me so you run faster and do more pull ups. PFTs are a baseline fitness criteria incorporating exercises for average people to see if they even meet a standard which most don’t. Most people are happy scraping by with a 2nd class or even a low 1st class.
