it's risk vs reward, if you know you have a top 10 car every race you can risk ruining a couple races returning the favor. if you know you have to work to get into the top 10 then that risk isn't always worth it. on top of that you have to deal with the media side, if a guy retaliates it's just hard racing, if she retaliates she's just a shitty driver and we saw that all too well with Danica and Jennifer Jo Cobb when they started driving other drivers the way they were driving against them.

This series is known for rough driving and pushing each other around. it's ridiculous to fence someone for 12th place. It sucks but it may be time to start pushing back, a lot of the guys pushing you around don't have the budget to get pushed back. maybe get one or two of them back and they will show a little respect.

If you run outside the top 10 or 15 in the trucks regardless of the track, there's a good chance of diminished success by the fault of others. I think pit stops are more critical in trucks than the other series.

I wondered what happened on the last lap. You were running sooo good only to finish 17th. I had a bad feeling someone had a dumb a$$ attack, but just blowing you into a wall -- WOW!. I can't imagine how depressed you must have felt. So much of racing is out of your control. You are a great racer! I know you will snap back! Waltrip on FS1 even commented during the race how you deserved a good finish. You have proven to everyone you are capable of being a top ten driver. You were doing so good, only to get crashed by a part time driver who has only raced 3 times this season. He is a racing analyst now, you can see him on TV most every week if he is not out on the track ruining young drivers races. Why these old guys feel the need to come out of retirement and race against mostly young drivers I don't know. There are a few older drivers in the truck series but they race every week and are in it for the points and are trying to win a championship. Small consolation I know, but the way you handle this shit has to be gaining you huge respect from everyone - inside and outside of the sport. If you were all super 'live and let live', or you punched the guy out after the race, that wouldn't be the case. But you're completely honest about hating being shit on, you'll stand by that and we've seen you go discuss it drivers who've carved you up when you thought it was warranted (I enjoy watching those!), then you put it behind you and just get on with the job. You balance a truckload of fire and passion that WILL get you to the top, with a ton of empathy for the entire team as a whole. This is starting to read like a job reference 🤔 Huge respect for that, I'm mid fifties and take NO offence when you call out older attitudes - the game has evolved, if you wanna go back and play again you need to learn how it's played TODAY, who you WERE doesn't make you royalty NOW. This was unfair as hell huh.
