​@@satyavakiti4860 no fools mate is mate in 2, it occurs after the moves: 1. g4 e5 2. e3 Qh4# You'd have to be really terrible at chess to fall for this hence the name "fools mate". Scholars mate is just attacking the f7 square with the light squared bishop and queen in order to play Qxf7 if the black king is the only piece defending the square which would result in a mate.
