the worst part is that these are bots and no longer need the users to click on their virus mail, they just choose random accounts and the bots get in loging you out even if you are active And change the email in a matter of seconds.. like how the Hell they do that?! it happend to me I got truly scared but now im just angry cuz I lost an account and the bot does Nothing is just there.. doing nothing, since I had no money or something interesting seems like they just leaves it there and the mods does nothing either since there is no suspicion or activity at all they can't get rid of it wow.. > __>

*please* make sure if you're ever downloading stuff from untrusted sources (like emails); throw it through virustotal before opening *anything* - especially if it's in a zip/rar file. It's totally free, used and highly recommended by many security professionals and checks the files by using a hole bunch of en-suite AV definitions. It's always so painful seeing preventable hacks occur but we're all human and even security professionals can fall for the usual social manipulation attacks like this. That being said; if it did manage to do something despite you not opening anything and only downloading the files then either there's a massive exploit with whatever you used to open emails or the system was already pwned (though probably unlikely). Good to see you back, hope it doesn't happen again.

Unfortunately this happened to me a long time ago. My account was literally just for shiny hunting videos and stuff, and my username/password got leaked due to a data breach from a pokemon forum. They changed the email to one that was a Gmail with my real name on it, changed the password, and I never found a way to contact Google for help. I gave up pretty fast. It's just disgusting there's no support for the most part and it's soul-wrenching when it happens. I'm really thankful you got your channel back, at least.

This just happened to me. I was watching it happen in real time and completely freaking out. Fifteen years of fandubs and AMVS down the drain. Your story made me feel better because I was so sad about everything. I also reached out to learn how to get a "Google Security Key" and "Backup Codes" and I will buy a mountain of them if I can, whatever the heck they are. So glad you got your channel back, too. The panic a hacked person goes through is so unfair. They swipe your account in seconds, then you have to jump through hoops to prove it's all yours. Sending hugs. 💛

Security codes are SUPER helpful! Google how to get them but they should be in settings, they are Double security when stuff like this happens. Safe the codes in a paper or image so when asked for recovery , use one of the codes and u are back in
