Tripp, I don’t personally know you, but I can tell you have a beautiful soul and it hurts my heart that you had to go through that experience. I quit watching the show after that first episode because I didn’t like the image Signal23 was portraying their actors to be. But anyways, continue to love yourself and thank you for being a positive role model for gay black men such as myself.

Anyone who doesn't see the importance of having a true friend, doesn't know how to be a friend. It hurts me to my soul that you were treated that way. Tripper Plugged hey brotha. None of us are perfect and we have all made mistakes that we are not proud of. The good thing is that we can use it as a better opportunity to exceed beyond our own expectations. Look at how people respect Vanessa Williams after the photoshoot and the loss of her crown, although she is a woman, we can still learn from her journey. You/we are not defined by our mistakes. In fact, mistakes are what make us more human. I love showing myself and others that I have value no matter what, Ill be great, until I leave God’s earth. Love the fact that you are candid, spiritual and above all valuable brotha.

My heart breaks listening to your story! I've not see the show and I doubt I will watch it because there is no entertainment value in watching someone do something that is contrary to his/her principles. I appreciate your strength and acknowledging your level of responsibility. The word of caution IMHO is for us all to be mindful of our core values and no matter what the consequences stick to them. Not always easy and we can all get caught up in a moment. Be kind to yourself and know that what seemed like a true dark period was a chance for you to reset and launch yourself and guide others with your heart felt experiences.

We all have a price. I'm glad you found yours and made a choice that eventually provided you a platform to to share your varied life experiences with all the bumps, bruises, moles and wrinkles. Henderson was/is your friend. He I think wanted to do for you what "About him" did for Rico. I again think you got into your feelings (wrongly) jumped to conclusions that you once again were being taken advantage of. You're in "Show Business" and as a then up and coming actor ,compromises and negotiations come with the territory and are expected. If you wanted more money or thought you deserved more why didn't you put that out there? Why wait for and offer. Also when offered $500.00 why not ask for $1000 to show your worth to the project. (which was well done btw) I also love how in this story you make yourself the hero taking one for the team. I think from what you share in these life stories that you have difficulty separating your personal and professional lives. You're a good dude bruh, and thank you for sharing with us.

As you stated sex sells, and I began losing myself posting thirst traps and nudes to twitter and eventually having unprotected sex with multiple people. And today I can admit I lost myself. I do not know who I really am. I remember coming across your twitter wondering why there was any pornography. And after watching this video, it made me realize a lot. You know when I first saw this headline on my phone, I was like who messing with you now and why is this a big deal. However, after hearing your story, I understand the hurt and pain you felt. To Signal 21's credit, they know and understand their audience. However, at the same time, yeah they used you. It's unfortunate that as a friend and as a company, they could not be upfront with you from the very beginning. Unfortunately in the Black gay community, the more sex video's you put out the more popular you become. I have to give you mad respect as you are trying to achieve a higher level of existence. Shame that as a community we can't celebrate that fact and promote a Brotha trying to achieve greater things. True Story.... When I was back in the Service, I had a commanding General who later became a good friend and mentor. I made a really bad mistake because I listened to someone who felt that someone of my skin tone should not be in the position of authority. The result of which is that some of my squad members got hurt. Because of the incident, I decided to leave the Army. On my last day at NATO the General pulled me to the side and basically rip me a new a-hole. But what he told me is something that would live with me to this day.... (Note: I'm leaving out the cuss words).. You are to total sum of your life experiences. Life is going to be good and bad and sometimes very ugly. When life is good, do better. When it gets bad, pick yourself up. When it gets ugly, don't sit there shitting in your pants, clean yourself up and move on. Own your mistakes and carry them like the scars on your back. The mistakes you make and your biggest failures can become your greatest success if you are man enough to learn from them. So quit being angry and sorry for yourself and act like the solider I trained you to be. That was back when I was in my early 20's. Now in my 50's I would not had the level of success and the career if I didn't listen and take the criticism to heart. So I say to you my Brotha, don't be ashamed. You fell down, got cut and have a scar. Scar's heal... And if anyone has an issue with the scar, then the problem is not you it's them... Bill Clinton got some head in the White House and they tried to end him. Now he commands $500k a speech and still one of the most popular Presidents in history.. You will be alright...

Tripp I understand your situation, but always remember in life we learn from our experiences ,I don't really pay much attention on regrets because it would of said u didn't learn from it,I saw the whole series on tex brown and it showed depth even though the sex was a part of it,it's the characters u connect with, so for someone who might of been in a similar situation they'd be able to touch base, now that u had your learned experience with all that, closure is the best solution, so it's not what u did but what u took from it.

Wow this was quite a story. I can still feel you’re pain from you talking to us about making that scene. At one point, I thought you were gonna start to cry while talking about it and no one would’ve blamed you if you did. I remember when I saw that scene the 1st time how shocked i was that I was seeing it. “Tex Brown” was a great show but I firmly believe that the show would’ve been great without that scene in it. I wish that it wasn’t on there because scenes like that took away from the storyline. I wish that you didn’t do it either for your peace of mind but I’m glad you decided to talk and share this part of your life with us. If i ever see that episode again, I won’t ever see it the same way again that’s for damn sure. And the quality of the shows on Signal 23 went down tremendously after “Tex Brown” & I stopped supporting them. I’m glad you’re doing better from that time and I’m glad you left Signal 23. I hope you share with us what made you left Signal 23 at some point one day. Thanks again for sharing and Peace.

I'm sorry you got put through that Tripp..I liked Tex Brown and I think that's a testament to you as an actor..because to commit to completing the season after starting off like that? Wow. It saddens me to find out the rumors about Henderson and Signal 23 TV are true smh. But you did what you had to do, and many people would have done the same thing in your position. In the end you are better than the things you've done or suffered through. Your star is meant to rise above all that, and it will continue to do so 😉❤

This is the reason why I subscribed to this channel its not because I knew Tripp Ali particularly from his acting or anything I came across his channel after trying to find episodes of tex brown online after seeing clips of it on KZbin. The story behind tex brown seems different and interesting even though I already had an idea on how it would go because tv and movies most times would depict gay love stories with either a happy ending or a tragic end and I no longer did believe in happy endings because I never saw or found any gay couple that represented that. So I found the channel and wasn't expecting anything special its not like I haven't seen KZbin channels before with black gay guys starring and it's more or less always the same. Attractive good looking guys either single or with their boyfriends running a bunch of fake pranks or doing a bunch of couple challenges or staging 90% of the content or situations. So I watched a few videos and it was the first time in my 33 years of living that I saw and heard myself through the words of some one else. Everything that I would say, all of my conversations with my close friends all of my convictions, beliefs and values was finally being represented and displayed by someone else. Hearing Tripp speak is like hearing myself word for word. I always knew that I was one in a billion and that there was none other than me until I started to hear this man speak and with it I got the confirmation that I have been waiting on my whole life. The one answer that I have been waiting for and the one question that i have asked my entire life. "Is it possible for a man to love another man?" And I'm not talking about no ordinary or common love that everyone have experienced I was talking about that special kind of love where you wanna love someone with your mind body and soul knowing that your purpose and reason for living is to find that one and true love that you were destined to find which would complete you and make you hold and filled that forever emptiness that some of us feel. And through Tripp story time I discovered that this was the type of love that this man is searching for a love that would stand the test if time and last for a lifetime. Seeing this in a stranger reawaken a part of me that has been missing for a while. Continue to do what your doing Tripp Ali you are changing lives through this KZbin channel
