I gave up coffee to lose weight, but my favorite concoction was adding both blueberry and ginger jams to my french press. Any kind of "artisanal" medium roast would do. And Italian sweet cream. I can't imagine how much money I've saved since.

Mocca Master is definitely a top choice. I have seen many reviews on them. Making coffee at home is one of the things I was worried about if I moved to Thailand. Looks like I'm good to go! South Korea is up there with the most coffee shops they're everywhere and according to Google there's over 100,000!

A lot of Starbucks in the US seem designed for you to take it and leave. The one near my house recently remodeled and actually removed most of the customer seating area, and expanded their back room area. If you are someone that insists on drinking your coffee there, you'll end up being crowded by all the people squeezed inside waiting for their order.
@GreenyTravelsАй бұрын
Definitely a chill at the coffee shop culture here
@woodsideguitars1187Ай бұрын
It may because in Thailand (also China, where i live part time) that the purchase of a cup of coffee is a much larger percentage of their salary. So it's something of an event to get a cup of coffee, and enjoy it in the shop with friends. In the USA, it's not such a big deal - actually a daily ritual for many and even use the drive thru window to get their fix. The coffee shops in Asia are definitely more welcoming to the customers to stay and enjoy.

Great video, Greeny. The coffee culture in Thailand is second to none. Also, the malls in Thailand are next level. I got a kick out your complaint about the intense odor as you walked by perfume section. I myself have to avoid that section at all costs because the intense odor will give me a migraine headache. I always tell my Thai girlfriend that I cannot go to that section.🤣

Chicago downtown has the 4 stories Starbucks. I believe the biggest one, the pastry store every floor and right out of ovens. The top floor is the coffee bar that sells coffee with alcohol mix. Very expensive drinks. Also, Chicago has the international Mc Donald. I am not from Chicago. From San Diego. Just fun fact to tell some of you viewers. Good coffee is coffee itself. If you start mixing with some S***, became bad coffee. Most important thing is the beans and how they roasted.

Love coffee, so this is a great video for me. Not really a fan of iced coffee (Starbucks frappucino being my only occasional exception). I'm hooked on single serve coffee machines at home, since I'm the only regular drinker and I like a freshly brewed cup. Really liked the Tassimo, but that seems to be slowly withdrawing from the US market (can't buy new machines any longer). So I'm now on Keurig, which is okay, but preferred the Tassimo tbh. Just encountered green algae in my Keurig reservoir which was gross, but was able to clean it out. Never experienced that with Tassimo. Interested to see what single serve coffee machines are in the Thai market.

you ever feel bad knowing that the usa cannot have nice places like in se asia. I was here in KL for a couple weeks and I do not know a better city in the usa. It has very low crime, almost no graffiti, first class stores, hotels and restaurants. A good public transportation system and friendly people. The kicker is that these people are not rich, but almost none think of committing crimes. The workers are polite and helpful. The usa was never a great place in my lifetime, but now it just sinks lower and lower. I feel the same way when I go to bangkok. One day they may kick us out for being western trash. Have a great day and thanks for the video.
