Never been to Thai classes. They're not available here in the sticks. Plus, I personally consider it a waste of money. I don't exactly hold Thai education in high regard, and that includes Thai classes for foreigners. I'd rather learn the language in practice, using my gf, Google Translate and just being curious in general.

What a boring expat. Must be millions of this brand, identical, in the US. Straight off the fat conveyor belt, ignorant. After a year and a half he should have some basic Thai to get the truck loaded. I was in Germany a week and I had learned 50 words and 20 phrases.

Why are you tipping? That’s an American thing. Don’t spoil it for everyone else now! Thai people never tip. Only farangs tip. As a matter of fact I was out with my Thai friends and I asked them if they ever tip and they said never ever. They will only ask for a tip to try to scam you for more money.

In America they might not charge you for the ice but they would demand a big tip for getting you ice and serve it with a big side of attitude. I’ll happily pay the 3 baht for ice and live amongst the Thai people. But yea, 1500 baht is a lot for a meal so I get where you’re coming from

Why you leaving those outrageous tips though? Thais should be paying us for the English lessons. No other country in Asia I can think of where you are forced to give the staff a free English lesson like Thailand. (And they're VERY arrogant about it to make it worse)

It's still not in the same league as the USA when it comes to the theft of adding up to 20% service charge in virtually every establishment you enter, from staff on many occasions who couldn't give a toss about you! Give me an extra 3 baht fee any day in comparison! You should've told them to take it out of the tip or just don't go back. Unfortunately I've noticed these thieving US style service charges being added now in some restaurants in Thailand, so I avoid those places although I wouldn't mind if the staff got the extra money but they don't, straight into the owners pocket. F**k that 👍☺️

@asiatravels007
@asiatravels007 12 сағат бұрын
@GreenyTravels Yeah I know you paid the bill, that's why I said they should take it out of the tip you gave them or just not go back. Those Thai restaurants adding service charges now for no reason, I hope will be a disaster cause a customer should decide on any extra payment like a tip not a business. 3 baht ice is ridiculous but any tip should only go to the staff for good work not to a manager or owner. I've started checking which restaurants are adding these service charges and avoiding them, I hope more people do the same. 👍
