I GOT MY TRAGUS PIERCED | PAIN + AFTERCARE

I got my tragus pierced! I've been thinking of getting more piercings on my ear and on 03/09/17 I decided to hit up my piercing studio and get something done. I went with a rough idea in my head and wasn't sure what to get exactly. Upon checking in with my piercer I decided to get my tragus pierced and I am so thrilled that I did it! In today's video I'll be sharing my experience :)

Looks very nice! I used to have my tragus pierced, and I loved it as well. I didn't really think it was painful either. It just took AWHILE for the piercer to get through my cartilage, while he continued to comment about how tough my cartilage is. A few years ago, one day, I just decided I didn't want to mess with any piercings anymore. I was tired of fussing with cleaning, my hairdresser snagging them with his comb, removing for CT scans, etc. So, that was that. I freed myself & removed them. I still love the looks of them, though. I think the new 'look' that I want to go for is a very cool ear cuff; but, I haven't found one yet to my liking.

Thank you! Oh no! I guess it just takes a while then when the cartilage is a little thicker! I totally get that! I can see how it can be a hassle! Ooooooooh ear cuffs are so so beautiful!!! I've been browsing etsy for studs and rings .. such beautiful pieces out there!! :)

I'm giggling because I got my tragus done after my septum, and I was sooo nervous as well. I have thick ear cartilidge, so those piercings have been a bit more difficult for me to have pierced and to heal. I had my daith done a few months ago, and it wasn't the smoothest, but the piercer was very cool. Your jewellry is lovely. I have a similar triangle with three small amethysts in my second lobe hole in each ear, and I think that it's such a pretty and elegant piece.

Same! At least compared to my babe's mine is really thick! I'll see how the healing process goes then! :) So lovely that you got your daith pierced, I think it looks so so beautiful! They had such great studs and the minute I saw this one I knew I found the one :) That sounds beautiful! I love amethysts!!! :)

im so sorry about your piercing experience!!! Mine wasn't red and didn't bleed at all. I was sitting in a chair when I got it done.

No worries at all - it's all part of the process .. or can be depending on how one's body reacts to it :) It's awesome to hear that yours wasn't red at all! :D

I’m glad I watched your video! I’ve had my Tragus for a year and it’s still a little swollen, and I have that hypertrophic scarring near the front part of my piercing 😒 I made my own sea salt solution, which I do the soaks usually once a day... I keep a can of H2Ocean spray with me and spray the piercing about 3-4 times a day... and about every other day I’ll use a clear hand soap in the shower. Maybe I’m cleaning the piercing too much? But I have a friend who said she constantly cleaned hers and hers is healed 🤷‍♀️ Everyone is different though.

I am sorry to hear what you are going through! Yes, absolutely, everything is different. My piercer said to just leave it alone and it's been working wonders. I only used the spray and soaked it for a month or so. I then went in for a check-up and he just said the less I do, the better and that worked for me. I'd check with your local piercer though- he or she would be able to best advise you on it! :)

To this day and mind you I have a tongue two nortrils dermal inverted vertical labret philtrum nipples and tragus and some basic ear ones and my most painful one is the tragus and the nipples fuck the tragus haha

Haha! If ones tragus is super thin, it shouldn't be that uncomfortable, no? :D Mine is on the thicker side and going in I had a feeling that this would be a bit of a pain! :D I'd do it again though, it's soo pretty and subtle! Luckily I haven't had any discomfort since it's been pierced and I am hoping it's going to stay this way! :D
