I Got Overheated Pressure Washing (3 houses & a hot day)

Feel your pain with the heat. I had to cut 6 lawns and do a 3800 house wash and a 4200 sqft house wash in one day. I own a lawn service also and added on PW'ing as an additional service in my "Hood" of 880 houses.

Dang!! Yeah the lawn mowing game is a tough one! I max out at about 4-5 projects in a day.

You gotta get some lighter colored shirts for summer time. Id be on fire in a black shirt in the sun all day. I get the cheap long sleeve fishing shirts from Amazon and stencil my logo's myself. Also some wet paper towels in ziplock bags in my ice chest help a lot to get through NC summers.

I would bring some tarps to make blooming flowers a non factor. It's very quick to cover them.

I do that if a client expressed concern, but usually just a nice pre-post rinse works

I let them know during the booking process that I use Sodium Hypochlorite which is a concentrated pool shock. I let them know that it will kill the organic growth on their house. Then I send a prewash checklist that reccomends moving any items that may be sensitive to bleach.

Sometimes and take this from a landscaper, putting tarps on bushes etc. could have a greenhouse affect and kill the plants especially in 85* weather, better off just keeping them wet

I see you do a hand swipe for oxidation test? Does this determine your batch mix? Just curious thanks for the informative videos Ive learned from them!

No, I am just checking too see the severity before I start washing. I have had customers not realize that their house is covered in it until after I wash. Having a video pre wash inspection helps in these situations.

Since you don't use surfactant, what indicates to you that you have rinsed enough?

Just experience i guess. I used Elemonater for my first couple of years, but now it's just habit of rinsing. Also, you dont need to rinse as long without surfactants
