Lol you got it all wrong there with spiders. It’s pretty much the opposite cus male spiders don’t hurt their mates. The females are dominant and will often eat the male after mating (sometimes *during* mating too). Although males can escape being eaten, many of them will just let it happen if it means successfully getting the female preggo.
