For contrast, Resident Evil 4 is an action game with horror as it's sub-genre. This is, first and foremost, an ero(tic) game. It's entire purpose is to be arousing/gratifying. Because there's an audience for guro (grotesque) content. It's just... not, like, folks who say "even though it's messed up, I get a weird high from it. It's emotionally jarring nature peaks my interest." No, instead, you get folks like, "Now THAT'S how you treat a woman" and "Why are you getting so offended by this stuff? If you don't like it, don't look at it. It's not real, so it doesn't matter if I fap to this shit" - which they will ironically say immediately after the first statement. And also, it's not true. It's a lie. Lots of content makes lots of different people feel different ways. It doesn't matter that it's "not real", because the part that the person is getting off on is the grotesque and violent nature of the content... therefore, it being "fake" isn't in question. How THEY interpret the content is. Which is also why lots of people try to defend... OTHER genres of anime ero(tica) with the same argument, despite the fact that they LIKE the content BECAUSE of what it depicts. "It's not really a 12 year old" and "it's not really an animal" and so forth... yet, why did they decide to engage with that content? Being fake doesn't matter, psychologically/treatment speaking. How you personally think about the content does.

A month late to the video, but... isn't there quite a few inaccuracies in the video? The box's curse requires 7, not 8 wombs, the island is controlled by 7 houses, while Yasaka is the 8th house they aren't really considered a noble house and is shunned by the others. Oh nice to have played this one before the vid, and yeah do agree rather brutal, love some solid horror though and this delivered in spades. The story and characters also kept me engaged throughout, liked the urban legend angle a lot, that's what initially drew me to it, but how it built up our main cast only to watch in dread as they spiral towards depravity was great, as was the twists and turns throughout. Especially so with Kurou's little foray immediately after the wedding incident and how that ultimately plays into the grand scheme of things. Also was very pleasantly suprised by the antagonists, mainly Ryuusei with how it took what I thought was a one note irredeemable bastard and made me feel for and somewhat root for him in the third act, which was greatly appreciated considering our main protags were now quite dreadful to follow along. It was quite an immpressive matter of story-telling with our protags journey along with that of the seemingly antagonist. The ending especially tied it all together incredibly nicely with some lingering mysteries that I'm quite certain I pieced together, not to mention a beautiful ost, a very solid 8/10.
