Message to Tucker: I'm an 81 year old former pilot, too old to take up para motoring, but I live vicariously through your videos. Stay safe.
@LouGuskeJr7 жыл бұрын
SmokeFlame1 - NO! You're NOT too old to take up paramotoring...just learn to fly a quad. It's essentially the same thing that Tucker does, only you don't foot launch. Instead, you sit in the quad (it has four wheels, kind of like a go-cart) and the paraglider lifts you into the air. You control it in flight the same way Tucker does with his foot-launched paramotor. If you can still drive a car, you can learn to fly a quad. Check the 'net. There's lots of info about it.

I own a drone/UAV Company JRC Aerial, LLC in Southern Colorado. I was turned in to the FAA back in December 2016 and was under investigation for 2 months. Crazy thing is, I found out someone created a fraudulent website with my Company name with all kinds of horrible comments on the website, saying that I thumb my nose at the FAA and that I do whatever I want, including flying at night. Same thing happened to me that happened to you, I got an email first notifying me that they would be calling me on a specific day at a specific time, and sure enough they called me right on time. It was during that call that the FAA Investigator let me know how they felt about my comments on my website, which I thought was weird, as my website mainly consists of still shots and videos and not too much wording. So I asked that the investigator to email the domain name of the website to me, which I was able to prove was absolutely fraudulent. Either way, they still had to investigate me which led to a final face to face meeting with 3 investigators which then led to them closing out my case, as they realized it was another douchebag that owns a drone company and has been trying to put me out of business. The same douchebag has created about 15 different fake Facebook Profiles and going on my biz page giving my Company 1 star reviews and horrible comments about my legit Company. Long story, but I'm in the process of getting all my evidence put together in case I need to sue the guy for slandering my Company name, along with identity theft when he created the fraudulent Website. I do want to add the FAA Investigators were awesome and very helpful! Since the investigation, I've had 5 other licensed drone pilots call me about the very same issue, with the exact same fake profiles which I have since turned into Facebook and got all the fake profiles deleted. Keep up the great work Tucker! I enjoy every video you put out and always look forward to your next video! This video really stood out for me when I saw the title lol as I've dealt with the same situation. SORRY FOR THE LONG COMMENT.

yeah i agree, but if you're going for the whole "whites made everything we take for granted", you're also missing out the fact that whites are also statistically more likely to be dumb because they're also the majority of the first world population. this isn't to say white people are more dumb, they certainly aren't, but at the same time they aren't a master race. i doubt it's anything genetic that made Europeans create most of our modern day technology (hence why i'm not a KKK member), but instead it's a cultural divide between first and third world countries. also, it wasn't just Europeans who created everything, it was just humans in general, from all backgrounds.OR MAYBE im just overthinking what you said.

Awesome Story. I know a few who compare their own life to the life of another and they actually believe that the others who have better lives than their own is actually unfair. So much so that they go out of their way to interfere or cause issues, to anyone that is within hearing distance. Simply they feel entitled to what others have worked hard for, and complain because their own lives are so morbidly dull. It's actually quite sad. Pay no attention. :) These are the kind of folks that are well off being ignored.
@artyomarty3915 жыл бұрын
I find that being around such people is pretty stressful. We are all humans and we all get jealous, but some of us simply havent developed a subconscious mechanism to deal with such a feeling and so instead of being happy/neutral for another human's success, these people feel jealousy/hatred/etc I myself had went from being poor to rather wealthy in my life and my friends had drastically changed when I was about 18 (in Russia). But they changed not because I became different, they changed because my once best friends began to see me differently and I could sense the jealousy in them. It was difficult for them to be around me because I had more money and could do things like travel whereas they couldnt so they sort of began not liking me as much. Someone even started some rumor that I became a cocaine addict. I was like WTF?
@thetessellater91635 жыл бұрын
We don't know this, but this guy may have inherited loads of dosh, whereas others are born into poverty. The argument goes that we should all be born equal, then no-one can complain of unfairness, but we aren't!

That is not the case with aircraft, often if something happens they are like a sleeping Tiger hiding until a incident or crash. Unusually over reactive as well and knee jerking AD's come out that do not apply to all applicable aircraft or too many aircraft. Lawyer's write up AD's (airworthiness directives) but A&P's have to decipher what they are talking about in there lawyer jargon which is not mechanic jargon. They can be helpful but not always. Each FSDO is different and one FAA guy will say one thing and the other will say something completely different -- AND both will assume they are right in there part of the pond. Just the way it is, A&P 20 years plus.

love the videos! I'm sorry that there are nasty people out there whom falsely report you to the feds. I've been in the aviation industry for twenty four years and one thing I would advise you about the FAA is that they are not necessarily your friends. I've witnessed a few situations where they play the role of the nice guy to try to snare you. They are here to do a job to ensure you are in compliance to safety. That's a good thing. However, I've seen good people who do the right thing every day and one day Mr. Fed shows up and says "hi I'm so and so with the FAA whatcha doin today?" And the next thing is they're under investigation and then the old letter in the file thing. The way I handle them is just give them just enough information and NEVER offer anymore than that. The bottom line is they play the role of the nice guy to get you comfortable and relaxed and you may uknowingly say something that they may choose to incriminate you.

Tucker, there is a great line in the musical Music Man. The play opens with the scam artist Henry Hill getting off the train in River City, Iowa--a very small fictional midwest town. As this criminal cases this small town he walks up to a local resident and says, "What do people in River City do?" The man looks Hill over and says, "The people in River City mind their own business". One of the truly disappointing things which has slowly crept into the collective mind set of many is the idea they can use gov't to force anyone they want to do something. Rest assurred this was not the way it was when I was growing up. I first saw this in 1970 when a new to our school liberal social studies teacher starting advocating basically the gov't could solve every problem we could possibly have--even I knew in 9th Grade this wasn't true. As we saw in the last 8 years empowering the political class which believes this way triggered the largest demand for private firearms ever seen. People started storing food--it was crazy and all that stuff about buying gold well what you were witnessing was a collective anxiety and let's not forget guys your age were seeing dwindling job possibilities as businesses reacted to an economic climate created by the previous Administration where their future costs for things like health care and energy, could not be predicted due to direct interference by the White House. Only by shrinking the Federal Gov't will any of you have a chance to live the life of your parents and grandparents. The Fed is simply consuming too much of the capital in the market which should be going to the People. At the same time these "do gooders" ignore the fact they have no authority under the Constitution to do so. Gov't agencies which are extensions of the Executive Branch like IRS , Homeland Security, EPA, FAA, etc. are incredibly dangerous as they are only accountable to the President of the US and not Congress--not how the Founders wanted things because of the potential for abuse as you were subject to with FAA. Now there have to be rules. But we are currently working with a rule book more akin to the rules governing baseball (the book is about 1/4" thick with very small print) describing challenging concepts like Infield Fly Rules of which almost no one who watches baseball really understands when what we need is the rule book for football which is on one page and about 7 or 8 items everyone can understand.

Definitely can get away with more in the motorcycle world as far as being a hooligan. But at the same time I do things in moderation and it's WAY more calculated than it's made to look. The local cops know who I am. But I will play nice on the paramotors. There was a part of training where they basically said " don't mess this up for everyone else".

These "haters" who report things just for the sake of getting someone in trouble, or for the sake of ruining a wonderfully fun activity that we do for the pursuit of happiness should be answerable for it somehow. Any reports received should require verifiable ID (no anonymous reports), and should be reported to a central authority for identifying abusers. A sort of karma could be created to ignore such whiners. Thank you for taking the risk of showing us this amazing part of your life. I don't get to do it, so I appreciate it.

This little shit should be in prison. No formal training or license. No insurance. Never filing flight planes. Encroaching military airspace. Flying up to 15,000 feet in the air without warning. Possibly unlimited if he was suspected of using this bastard thing to plan terrorist attacks.

Cheers Bro, thanks for the inspiration. I really want to fly on a lower budget than most aircraft will allow, without a pilots license, in a low speed hybrid electric, fuel cell electric or diesel electric ultralight with solar assist etc or something like a short hop paramotor or tiltrotor that can fold up & pack up small & light & modular, easy to setup, inexpensive, safe, clean, etc. I can almost predict that some jerk will report me with false testimony etc & file a false report to try & stop me. I have lawyers on retainer & can't wait to counter litigate those stupid losers who hate to see other people enjoying life. On two occasions I got the finger & f word yelled at me when I was riding my Segway MP in Seattle, both times younger men in POS cars screaming out their window etc. Hatred does nothing but raise their blood pressure & make me wonder if they are psychotic. Why hate on others for doing something you know you want to do? just because you cant ? because of jealousy ? Have some integrity & be a real man & revel in the victories of others! That guy who reported you is a complete loser !

Pittsburgh and Food you CAN get cheaper if thats for a more DIY setup and used stuff that may have a little more wear and tear then other PPGs; and aviation definitely isn't something to cheap-out on!
@Postghost7 жыл бұрын
Pro tip... Don't pay for cheap training. Because you get what you pay for, and your initial training is the ONLY thing that makes this a relatively safe hobby. Pay for good training, or don't do it.
@gavinanderson47747 жыл бұрын
Postghost ya some stuff you can be cheap with but this is not one of them
@WilliamMerzlak7 жыл бұрын
The training is just as much as the paramotor. Not to mention if you're on a super tight budget. As in starving yourself for weeks just so you can afford the rig. It can get pricey having to drive to and from the place of training. For me the closest was 210 miles away. So I just said screw it and watched, read and tested myself over and over again on the basics. It's really easy to learn and get the hang of. There's a bit of a learning curve but it was a lot easier than it was for me to learn how to ride my motorcycle. So I'd say, if you are on a budget like I was. Just watch hours of "how to" videos and read up on it. Skip the $2500.00 training.

from a retired diesel mechanic. used to tie a string or wire to wrenches when using them in a space that goes into the engine and would be hard to get out if dropped.fasten your phone to a heavy string or wire, will save you if you drop it. (also saved a lot of time not getting up and down off a truck). Note everything you have in flight needs to be tethered, even if you land and find it could be damaged.

The gravestones at 12:47 look like gravestones I saw on Okinawa. The walls represent the spread-apart legs of a woman giving birth. Nice video. I stop by from time to time to see the view. I am a power and glider pilot so I know the thrill associated with being up in the air. Many people do not like others having fun. They do everything they can to disrupt people having fun. A lot of people are just downright hateful and unhappy and they want others to be the same way.
