8:59 Drae forgets he's writing a book and not making a movie, reduces the dialog in the book
@Eatbutternow9 ай бұрын
I think making a book that is a romance targeted at 60 year old women and thinking that the plot should be like a Rick and Morty episode was a bad choice.
@gavingiwer8559 ай бұрын
As a 60 year old woman, I disagree.

As an amateur writer myself (Or at least someone with basic knowledge of writing) seeing Drae pick ALL THE WRONG SLIDERS FOR THE BOOK HE'S WRITING pains me so freakin much, like he had it on a silver platter with the Dilbert story if he'd invested into world building instead 😭😭😭

It feels inspired by game dev tycoon. You need to apply a little genre savviness to know which combos will work best and what you should focus on when it comes to the plot. Also, I think research is like the reflection option in GDT, you just use it before hand to findout if your combo is good.

I have no idea why or how he kept comparing it to Turmoil... This game is absolutely nothing like Turmoil. It's pretty similar to Game Dev Tycoon though, which would be a funny game to watch Drae struggle through!

It's an interesting game. A bit different. It might get repetitive very quickly though. This is a game which could really benefit from AI.

What?!? It’s sad that in 2005 SiFi Pirates wasn’t a hit. Treasure Planet came out in 2002, and is one of the best movies ever made for kids. I’m sure the book would have done just as well (1883/1982).

Oh this is so much more like a Game Developer Simulator rather than Turmoil. Competition is one thing, but the whole writing and game development mechanic is practically the same. Doubtful that this is one of those "must have" or even "play for awhile" for me, but that's okay I guess. On top of the mechanics Drae, your choices don't match on sliders, hence the failures of book. You want to invest into a lot of setting for example, but then on the next slider you are limiting the setting. It's all numbers game and balance, but unfortunately requires the attention to be paid. Unfortunately, none of that happens here 😂
