He's right tho. In oversimplified terms, seborrhea is caused by your scalp's microbiology - various bacteria and fungi - going haywire because of excess of food. It feeds off of the fats and sugars your head produces, also consuming dead skin cells in the process, but it start eating living tissue as well when it has an opportunity to over-reproduce. Eliminate dairy, fried and spicy foods, yeasts and sugar, and your head will basically stop producing those tasty oils, stopping the process. It's not like I follow that advice though lmaoooo Do as I say, not as I do. I am a poor student without a kitchen - spicy fried pizzas are like 45% of my diet right now because of the non-ending promotions in a local Domino's ;-;

Fungi,mold, and yesterday products. Like cheese, bread, mushroom products I can understand cause that's basically yeast and your just feeding seb derm with it. I would say eat less dairy, or atleast minimize consumption of dairy products. Another one is MSG found in a lot of takeout or drive thru menu items. So eat local fruits, vegetables, meats and fish and cut down on snacks with artificial sugars as well (Such as Xylitol/Ethanol. Drink plenty of water and eat fermented foods (probiotics) and supplements vitamins with no added sugars. Majority of dryness, irritation will go away, the rest is environmental causes like bad ph shampoo, using shampoo too much (I use conditioner on the 4-5 day and still wash). (use aloe vera soap over shampoo if you want better results)

@@KingofManifestation My best advice to avoid dermatitis forever is to mix one cup of aloe vera gel and two tablespoons of castor oil together. Then apply it on your scalp and leave it there for 2 hours or overnight before using lukewarm water and washing it out with a mild shampoo. And for added moisture, finish off the shower with a hydrating conditioner and switch to cold water to rinse that out. Do this once a week and I guarantee you’ll see a difference. Repeat this process once a week. Also cutting out carbs from your diet will be ideal. I speak from personal experience, because I used to have the worst seborrheic dermatitis imaginable. And now it’s all gone. Hope this helps you 😊

Hey there, mates. Fellow Scalp seborrheic dermatitis sufferer here. This is for people like me. I had this dandruff thing maybe 3 years ago from now. Severe dandruff, got bald and can see patches of fungus there. Doc at first recommended (Clobetasol Propionate 0.025% lotion) and (salicylic acid 2% and ketoconazole 2% shampoo). Worked well, but the solution wasn't a long term solution. There's nothing bad with using the shampoo long term. Dandruff was still recurssing at this point. Tried (ketoconazole 2%) only shampoo, didn't work. Itchy, redness and danruff on scalp. Moderate hairfall. Tried (ketoconazole 2% and zinc pyrithione 1% shampoo) only. All dandruff wen't away just like that. Extremely effective for me, but at the cost of heavy hairfall. Was depressed at this point. Then tried a "piroctone olamine" only shampoo for a few days. Recurring dandruff but very slight ithciness and normal hairfall. Didn't work that well. Doc said no but still was using that lotion I mentioned in the first treatment(like maybe once every 10 days and danruff was under very good control). Finally, currently using (Ciclopirox olamine 1% & zinc pyrithione 1% shampoo). Works like charm. Had to use it every alternate day initially, but now once twice a week works fine. Hope this helps to some of you out there! Thanks, Vicky.

all the different tips and guesswork in the comments are a reason why this area is not scientifically accepted. There are so many stories of people changing their diet like this or that with positive effect, but no understanding on why? Yeast? Gluten? auto immun problem? Insulin? Leaky gut? What cuses what? etc

@@Hamada-yk2eg just go with around 100 grams net per day . I eat more if I feel like and I have no problem . Sometimes I don't eat at all carbs. I just fell better with a low amount of carbs but I won't stress myself too much about how many. Just relax and lower your carb intake and avoid those problematic foods. Under 50 grams per day for a long period if time would mean you have to switch to keto and it takes some knowledge in order to do it.

So you’re keto. Because we use carbs as a fuel source.

Good quality food is your fuel source. The human body doesn’t need carbs to operate. If that were the case, I wouldn’t be here right now writing this message.. Grass fed fatty meats, nuts, vegetables, and minimal dairy. I stay far away from breads, pasta, grains, sugar, processed foods, and vegetable oils. Plus I exercise, sleep 7-9 hours daily, drink a lot of water, and work 12+ hours 6 days per week so I definitely don’t have a “lack” of energy. If anything I’ve noticed significant increase in energy from my diet change.

Sweet to the point but... I've been having a gluten free diet i do say that it is rather helpful but rather stay away from anything that has oils too... even red meats.. I try to only have not even chicken as it is oily... have turkey instead if you want meat. Don't eat anything fried because... that is technically breading. Just stay hydrated people... Wish I can only know what's a permanent solution of getting rid of this embarrassing problem. All I can say is I really want to be injected if it's an inside problem... Just inject me...

just experiment this diet plan on yourself, you won't die from eliminating bread, pasta, grains etc. for a few weeks - use your brain and google to read studies, don't just rely on doctors for every issue that is not life threatening - the doctor usually treat the symptom, not the root cause
