I’ve had my Apple Watch series 6 since Christmas 2020. What features do I use. - I like to have access to the music that’s playing - I use it for weather info - I use it at the stores to tap - I will glance at it for a text message, but don’t like trying to reply with it - I will answer a phone call if it’s important but not a fan of using it for that - I use the timer feature when cooking - alarm feature when needed What I don’t like - the constant charging Would I buy another one… No I don’t think I would. I’ve looked at the Garmin & would probably go with a solar version just to give me more time between charges.

I just used my Apple Watch this morning at 5:am as a “flashlight” (with its red light screen) (also came in handy while camping looking around the tent at night). I sleep with mine & it tracks my sleep. I do use the Ultra… so longer battery life. I would reconsider an Apple Watch *but* have convenient Apple Watch charging everywhere (battery banks with Apple Watch charging, fast charging, nightstand charging, etc).

@@enriquediaz7547 this is definitely a solid option. I’m in the Apple ecosystem and the Ultra would increase battery life.

I use a cheapy $30 off brand watch that I got of ebay lol! It is actually pretty accurate and works well. It connects to my iphone, can make calls and do texts. It counts my steps, sleep tracking and all the health functions. It works well for me and is enough. With a tight budget, I haven't felt the need to spend the extra money on an actual apple watch or other higher name brand, but still get a lot of use out of my cheapy one. I wear it everywhere, even while working around the farm, doing projects, whatever without stress of it getting broken, because if that did happen, it wouldn't cost a lot to replace. My suggestion would be to do a lot of research. (I know it sucks and is time consuming, but worth it) Look carefully at the features of each watch and what it provides to find the one that most fits your needs.

The Apple Watch Ultra is my go to….The new one should be out before the end of the year. My Apple Watch Ultra battery last me 3 days on one charge. I’m probably never going to use any other smart watch👍🏻The fitness tracking is phenomenal on there…I love the hiking features you you can also set waypoints to find your way back. I think you should continue without a smart watch. I use a solar-atomic G-Shock. It's a set and forget watch. Mine has a digital display, and it has to have clear, easily readable day and date. I also need to see the seconds, becaue I work in medical field. I stick with G-Shock because I know I don't have to baby the watch, or pause to remember I have a watch on my wrist and prevent damaging it.

The best thing I ever did was to ditch the "smart" technology as much as possible. Basic phone no apps analog watch (pocket watch) in my case. This way there are no distractions other than the ones I want. If I want KZbin or other social media I have to make an effort and get a tablet or a laptop. Easier to avoid social media in the mornings and evenings to give the mind a break. Yet I still have a phone nearby if need be. Mentally it has made a huge difference!!
