I still game that 7 wood to this day lol. I have the driver but the shaft cracked but I plan on getting it reshafted for fun, been golfing since the early 90s and it's still my favorite driver I ever had.

Got the Wilson V6 clubs for my son at Christmas. He strikes them lovely but does have a tendency to hit long long. Roughly the same price from GolfClubs4cash, but no 3 iron. Probably just as well.

I have that exact driver. It's not in the bag at the moment but it comes out every so often. It's still the nicest feeling driver ive ever hit off a centre strike. Pity there are so few of those!

The old heaven wood. That 7 wood was amazing and before its time. I bought one when released loved it but never put in the bag. Ended up giving to my dad. Back then a guy playing with 7 wood didn’t happen. My father to this day still has that club in his bag. Might be the greatest club ever made. Just to before its time.

They should send you a set of Senior Clubs with Senior Shaft. That would be a nice Challenge. When you have a pretty fast Swing hard to control strike point with Senior Flex Shafts.

I only buy used. Just really getting started playing. Been playing 8months or so. Great series. Could you recommend some budget friendly Wedges for beginners. Im 6ft4 and buying used Wedges I have found kinda hard. Especially with my height

Depends how long your arms are, saw a fitting recently and the fitter was 5 10, person being fitted 6 4, when they let their hands drop in set up position, and independent measured club length requirement and it was the same

Costco wedge set...3 for about $169. They are good wedges. I'm 6'2" and my clubs are all 1 inch over standard. I have kinda short arms for my height. You can have length added with a shaft extender if needed.

Get some Cleveland wedges. My preference is a 52 and a 56. For now, I would stay away from a lob wedge. Most golf shops that do regripping will also put shaft extension on your clubs. They should measure you up no problem, you don’t have to go through an expensive fitting. No more than 1 inch extension, more than that, you are better off getting a longer shaft. I’m 6’2”, so I understand where you are coming from.

I’m commenting before I see this horrible shot that you have with that bunker in front. Given the clubs you have, I would use that three would try to hit a low roller right through the bunker and ramp up onto the green.

There is nothing wrong with what they sent you. The used Ebay market? Sure, there is a lot of quality out there if you are careful. One of my golf group friends buys Ebay clubs all the time. Sure, maybe it is not 2024 equipment, but it can still do the job. That Steel head 7W? I have that and 5W. I still play them.

My boy got my Ping G2 Tour that I had gamed for 16 years. I got it off a high school buddy who played on the tour for a bit. When struck right, it could still out perform anything on the market that wasn’t a LS model.

I have a buddy. He is lucky to break 80 yet on the range with the ball cart out there picking up balls he can hit the cart at will with every club. It is a talent I’ve never seen duplicated and everyone on range will stop and watch him like happy Gilmore. It’s a useless yet amazing talent. See the mower on the green made me think how good he would be if always one on the green.
