Too bad it's hard to live closer to the land and nature in the big city. All we can do is try to get closer to nature when we have a chance.

I lived like this for 3 months before I started grad school. It’s amazingly peaceful. I’m looking forward to going back to this life when I graduate in 8 months. If you want to live like this start getting yourself out of debt and get your expenses as low as possible. I can live like this working just 2-3 days per week.

I witness people that would give everything to switch spots with me. I was humbled and grateful for the situation. After 3 months, I was recharged and now I consider myself a soldier, at war with life for my family.

My friend. I just finished watching the entire video. I believe this is your 3rd video that I am watching, and I believe that you could summarize your situation in 3 words - You overdid it. I am a mechanical engineer and about to turn 50. Two years ago the company that I worked for got more and more demanding. I had to work weekends and holidays, so I left them after 14 years. Right after I found a new engineering job that I really enjoy. My weekends and time-off are 100% mine. I gave up $40K a year since my previous position was higher level, but I've gained freedom and peace of mind, while still maintaining my financial needs. I truly believe that you simply need to find a new job that would allow you to enjoy your free time when you need it.

Social media is very suffocating it destroy peace of mind. Since I deactivate my social media. I create small circle of friends but genuine. My perspective change the world getting bigger and brighter. I am more comfortable of my true identity. The more I care less about what other people say or think about me the more I am happy of who I am actually.

Nothing is guaranteed except that we are to live a difficult life. I'm retired and struggled and suffered all my life. I planned out my lifestyle years before I retired, to only struggling again. Moving out of the city and out to the country was on my list. Unfortunately my wife and I have some health issues and finding doctors out there is difficult. I did purchase vacant lots to build our dream home. Very difficult to sell these lots as most people want to purchase already bulit homes. Too much waiting time along with costs. Times and attitudes have changed big time.

Thanks for your videos. I was recommended your one that blew up but I think I've watched them all now. Honestly, when you talk about living a life without a long to do list, things to remember and the constant work stresses seems like something that I personally will never experience until I retire or worse. I've had my business for many years now, and every year around this time I get burnt out and it lasts for 2 or 3 painful months. I've built up a good number of clients, some successful personal projects and great income. But I know I'm just kidding myself if I think I can continue for much longer without a break or changing my life. My young daughter is growing up quickly too and the moments with her are precious but I know I'm missing out. And I can't tell you the last time I went for a bike ride, or a hike. All things I loved to do. Also like you I can never say no to a new project, client or job, even though I don't really want it or need it. I'm not even trying to keep up with anyone anymore, so all I can say is that I've been conditioned, or conditioned myself to simply work without joy.

Materialism is the biggest lie. "Keeping up with the Joneses" as they say. It will never bring you happiness. Once you get one new thing, there will be a next new thing, and the cycle never ends. It's a short-lived gratification, much like most things in the world. I realized this in my mid 20's and I haven't looked back, 33 years old now. I haven't participated in society for years, and it's made me a stranger to most people. Sometimes it sucks, and can be very isolating, but once you know you know... There is no going back. At least you have a supporting wife! Glad you're finding peace, man. Good luck with fishing, from one fisherman to another! :)

Though I have already Plan my Life that after 5-10 years i will stop work and make my own business that I can spend more time with my family doing the business and teach my children to be the next Manager after I die in this world. Sound Productive but still I have to be stuck being waiting paycheck cuz Money will be the problem to create a Business. So the only problem Im thinking is do i still have the Will and Strenght after 5-10yrs working saving Money to create a Business? Bcuz Change is Constant so I need something that My "Fire" wont Die in the Process. So what makes me motivate waiting that time? Maybe get more Sleep and balancemy emotion with my family and anything positive but also Dying will be problem cuz we dont know how long we can live in this World we might die sooner but still we have to think positive and avoid dying. There is an old wise deity known as Obatala he is the Aisha of peace, wisdom, and the creator next to God in youruba culture. I look up to him a lot because he is in charge with living a life of peace, wisdom challenges, and is known for being everything that has to do with patience and perseverance. In a way I have always wanted to be different than all my friends coworkers people I know from school because I was always the one that even though I was very social. As well as able to talk to others, I was also someone who wanted to be in peace away from all the noise. This video is the best video I have ever seen because it is the first time someone has put themselves in the same position I have been and I always knew I’m not crazy for thinking the same way. I love the fact that I can enjoy an hour in a lake and solitude not thinking that I’m weird for enjoying to be alone, but because I feel at peace from all the noise, both in the corporate world, as well as in my everyday life, thank you so much for this wisdom, my friend and your words And encouragement. I wish that you find what you’re looking for and you find your peace and happiness as well looks like you already did. 🤣🤣 there is a scene in the matrix movie when Morpheus is walking. With Ne-Yo down the street and Morpheus is walking seamlessly across the people or as Ne-Yo keeps tumbling after each one then Morpheus later in that scene tells Neo these sentient beings “are everyone and they are no one” that quote hit me very hard because it’s something I play into our lives. We are both everything in the image of others in our minds but also no one because nobody cares. Find your peace and happiness be true to yourself. I let God put you in the right direction.

21:48 to 23:35 You resonate to my favorite pseudo-chapter 20 of Dao De Jing, thanks again for your sincere sharings, salute you with this translation made by a Vietnamese translator: Give up learning, and you will have no more worry. How great is the difference between "yes" and "no"? What is the distinction between "good" and "evil"? Must I fear what others fear? What abysmal nonsense this is! All men are joyous and beaming, as though feasting upon a sacrificial ox, as though mounting a spring terrace. I alone am placid and get no mark, like a babe that has not yet smiled. I alone am forlorn as one who has no home to return to. All men have more than enough. I alone appear to possess nothing. What a fool I am! What an obscure mind I have! All men are shining. I alone am dull. All men are sharp. I alone am blunt, riffling like the endless ocean, rambling like the ceaseless wind. All men have their things. I alone am stubborn and stupid. But wherein I am most different from others is in knowing to prize my nourishing mother. /From LAO TZU'S TAO TE CHING translation by Tien Cong Tran /

Anyone saying that he/she wants and loves working (the whole job idea) with the idea that each of us should improve himself, provide for himself and the society, they are all lying deep down. Nobody wants to work, the only exceptions are those who do what they love. I guess these people are mostly artists, sportsmen or either journalists. The saying of "self improvement" is such a stupid thing to pretend outside yourself, because if you genuinly don't feel comfortable with yourself then obviously you will seek self-improvement and comfort IN you, but that improvement isn't necessary achieved by being "productive" for the society or anybody else. You get improved only when you find peace with you, your inner gut. Not with what others want by you. Cheers mate !

Life really changes when you have a family and I get it man. It’s a lot more responsibility, but also a lot of purpose. It’s clear you care deeply about being a good father. Just gotta keep holding down the fort until then man.

@HealthCores

I asked myself that for a very long time. The answer is within ourselves as we all have different meaning of what happiness is. Just spend time with yourself and your own thought and it will come to you. I hope you find your answer soon. Take care my friend.

My farmer grandfather lived till his 90’s and died naturally in bed. He was healthy and lean, smiling most of the time, praying and spending time with his family. All he ate is home-cooked, no internet, no phones, no artificial sources of dopamine. I’ve seen how a human being is supposed to live.

Do you have a bunch of money saved up? Just curious how you provide? I live a simple life of going to work coming home hanging with family and playing video games. I am 39 been working for 10 years for Fortune 500 company making enough to provide for my family I am by no means rich. I value my family time as top priority so being home and gaming seems like my best option I grew up hunting and fishing my entire life I even fished for my college team. I do feel very lonely at times but at the same time I appreciate the silence. Most of my friends have dropped off over the years and I feel like a lone wolf

Sounds like you’ve built a life that aligns with what matters most to you and family. It’s tough when friendships fade, but the peace and quiet can bring clarity too. Maybe those hobbies like fishing can help reconnect you with yourself or even spark some new bonds. Lone wolf or not, you’re holding onto what really counts.

I hope you are in the transition period or else it is a looping period or flashback period. For a Sigma, the keep up, the left out thing, is for the energetic people to achieve for the human community improvement, not individual improvement. Meaning you like it, you do it. You want it, you get it. You know what, these catch up things does not speak to the elderly. This is where human life already is spoken. For a Sigma also, we won't disturb these group of achievers because human species need it. It depends how these achievers' intelligence to come out to improve their mind, and happiness instead being just having a great or many achievement. I hope three months from now, you may start a fresh vibe. At this point of time, it is a flashback vibe as well as asking people to flashback as well. Hahaha. 😁

@HealthCores We need to cry in order to know the world reactions, we need to be sicked, in order we know we are weak and need to do something about it, we need to have bad people in order we know who is good people. We need to know what is light for sure we do need the dark in order to find out the precious of light. The earth need to have a routine to rotate in order for human to mix and decide their own routine for future. It is not always about human interaction with human, it is also about human interaction with animal, nature, and environment that create those positive and negative energy. Human do decide their own happiness but with experiences, exposures as well as to think outside the box. If u want me to lead or show you, just drop a message here. I learn mostly from internet, which is the world for own growth and perspective.😁♥️
