If you like this guitar but you want to spend a little less, I just bought the player 2 tele HH and it's seriously amazing. I think the stock pickups are even better than this and the neck is buttery with rolled frets. I recommend it for 800 bucks over this personally. Also, it has a small pick guard and looks more vintage and traditional. Stock pickups are modded Shaw Buckers.

@@GeoffByrdMusic - There had also been a Squier 'Custom' model in the mid-2000's that looked like a 'Deluxe' and had been available also with "Duncan-designed" P90's as opposed to humbuckers (which is the version I had), plus it had a regular Tele headstock. It had gotten very good reviews, too! Finding one of those would probably be the most affordable way of getting close to something like this here guitar 🙂

@@mightyV444 I had a 70's style tele DLX from Squier, and while it was cool looking and sounded pretty good, it's was oddly a little TOO bright in the bridge with those full range Humbuckers that are a bit brash. The anomaly on this instrument is that it has P-90’s instead of the wide range humbuckers, or a more conventional set of humbuckers. It’s an interesting instrument for Fender, however, they have offered other Telecasters with P-90’s installed, and I believe there is a para-normal Stratocaster that also has a set of P-90’s. Thanks for sharing! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨🎸

I've never heard a "noiseless" stacked pickup that doesn't just sound like a humbucker to me, at least in high gain scenarios. Yngwie is my favorite example. Doesn't sound anything like a strat, and its cuz he puts those stacked demarzios in 'em
@skye7690Ай бұрын
Love your show. Hey since regular humbuckers can measure say 7-8k ohms, why do these "stacked" humbucker ish pickups often measure 13-16k, why don't they measure half since they are essential humbuckers also?
@noire199123 күн бұрын
Because these are noiseless P-90 pickups not humbuckers per se. So stacked pickups have two single coils one on top of each other and because of this the resistance that they read is twice the number, not because is twice the “heat”

I had no idea this was a thing. A beautiful guitar and sounds great. It does look like it's geared towards his solo and side projects rather than the Foo Fighters. The only thing I don't like is the way the pick-guard looks at the bottom horn. Either cover the horn or shape the pick-guard to match the horn. The way Fender did it looks weird to me. With the flexibility of the pickup cavity you could put humbuckers in. Just buy a new pick-guard since everything is mounted to it makes it easier to swap pickups. Can't quite afford one but one day hopefully.
