Bought a Bettinardi putter recently and was completely disapointed that a $500 putter included a Velcro headcover. I kept complaining to my wife about it and she just didn't understand the frustration. But when you spend that kind of money, magnet is just that next level of premium.

Magnets are the way to go. Silent operation (ill timed velcro release can disturb your playing partners on the green), and they don’t wear out. One of my buddies with a 15 year old Scotty and original head cover drops the darn cover at least once a month and has to search because the Velcro is worn out.

Matt the 2 dots on the evenroll are for putts moving from left or right break , for example a putt breaking right to left should line up with the outside dot , vice versa for left to right using the inside dot , i saw this on a evenroll testing by guiren rife

Used it the other day, yeah it looks cool and feels nice, but nothing seems to set it aside from other fully milled putters, especially for $350. The grip was almost a rough feeling, unlike the soft feel of a scotty pistol grip. the bottom of the club with the white rectangles isn’t my favorite either but it all comes down to personal preference. the putter cover certainly is worth it

Quite possibly the worst putter review I’ve seen on the Internet. At first, I was excited to hear what was said. As other viewers commented, he was more interested in the head cover than the putter performance. Seems like he decided this was a collectors item without comparing its performance to anything else? Why would anyone declare it a collectors item without saying why? I was there are the putter reveal with my kids- didn’t get to meet the guys due to the long lines but did get to try them out and speak to the engineer for quite some time. You may want to ask questions like “how does deeper cnc milling not just effect roll but initial launch of the golf ball?” In my non-professional opinion, this video used the good good putter to get some views and nothing else.

This isn't as comprehensive of a putter review like you've done in the past. For that price point, I still have too many questions...is the putter head made from 1045 carbon or 303 stainless steel or other? Will there be shaft options? What is the head weight, and does it change depending on the putter length? Will there be grip size options? Is the headcover bullet proof and double as a floatation device?

Yes, they are all 303 Stainless steel. Currently they’ve only released I believe 800 at the Launch date July 30th. Unable to buy online currently. Weights depend on putter head. Blade 345g , Large Balde/Mid Mallet 365g Mallet 370g. Custom mold injected Pistol grip (whatever that means)

Matt, I’ve got at least 80-100 more putters than I need as well. I also love nice putter covers and have a pretty good collection of Scotty Cameron covers. I also have a great collection of Bettinardi putters , and I would say his head covers are of equal quality to the Scotty’s ( except for his very early covers which were rather poor).

$300 for a unproven putter seems a little high. I know they have a big channel but there are a lot of putter options in that price point. Matt you should try to review the way over priced LA Golf putter headcover.

They're selling to fans of their channel, and this is probably a low volume product, so of course the costs are going to be higher vs like something from Odyssey or from Cleveland. But for me, I would honestly just grab a Cleveland putter if I had to buy new. $150-200 for a quality putter is how much I'd be willing to spend on one.

Doesn’t the milling depth affect the sound/feel? You liked how loud impact was, but I think part of that is due to the shallow milling. Your Scotty has an insert and some additional parts affecting acoustics, but for their 1-piece milled head I think the milling depth has to stay that shallow to keep that crisper sound unless they add a sound slot or something like that.

The deeper the milling the softer sound and feel. you get that because the ball is contacting less of the face. Neither is better just preference. Sound slots also allow for that softer sound

They used a designer who's got several years experience at a couple big name manufacturers, so I imagine a lot of the cost was between all of the work with him and the small quantity CNC work. They don't have the option to purchase tens of thousands, so their production costs wouldn't be as low. That said, agree with everything - especially the dot. I would say the stitching is better then the Travis Mathew for sure. The lines are cleaner and the end of each stitch ere done nicer and sewn inside out with cleaner lines before they flipped it right side out. Travis Mathew’s corners are pointy

Maybe next time I’ll judge the quality of my shoes based on the box it comes in. Or may be a book by it’s cover. Great example - LAB putters. Excellent putters but they had a terrible head cover when they first started selling. At the onset of a brand, decisions have to be made where one will put most of their investment. These guys don’t have the kind of capital like taylormade or odyssey.
