So here's my thoughts: skip the Scribe - it's very expensive, it's just a bigger version of the Paperwhite except twice as heavy...the weight on it actually kind of defeats one of the main advantages of the kindles for me! The Scribe is literally just as heavy as a hardcover & about the same height. If the colored screen is important for you & your reading, the Colorsoft might be for you, but if that's a feature that doesn't really matter for you, I would just go for the basic kindle to go along with your paperwhite! It's tiny, so super easy to throw in your bag, & VERY lightweight so super easy to hold for a long time when reading! 📖

I have the signature 11th edition too - haven't seen that yet - but seems to just have been a little glitch. A restart fixed it 🙂

Thanks for reviewing it! I was contemplating ordering one but for what I would use it for I don’t think it’s worth it. I plan on getting an iPad this year so I feel that I could just use that and my Kindle Paperwhite.

I have 3 ipads as well & the color quality is definitely more vibrant on an ipad...however, they are much heavier than the kindle so reading for an extended period of time on the ipad is a bit tougher! Also, the ipad is a bit more expensive even than the Colorsoft. Give & take for sure! 😊 My Paperwhite is definitely my favorite!

I did kind of want the colorsoft just because it’s so pretty. However I don’t think I can justify the cost because I don’t read graphic novels or manga so it’s not like I need it. But it’s so cute to look at.

📱 I really appreciate your thorough review because I’ve been eyeing it but was unsure. Now that I’ve seen this, I’ve decided it’s wayyyy to expensive for the glitches it still has and I think they can make it more vibrant than it is. The technology we have these days with phones and all, there’s no reason these things aren’t fixed with an even more vibrant screen, ESPECIALLY at that price point. I’ll wait 5-10 years until they’ve had more time to perfect it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ just not worth it for me personally! Thanks again for the review! ❤

Honestly, for standard reading, I think a 40% markup is a bit silly...maybe if it's your first kindle, spring for it, but realistically, the Paperwhite is still the best bang for your buck functionally! 😍

If you’re a graphic novel reader it’s also good. But I like my Kindle Fire for that. It’s a little bigger so that’s the only downside to the kindle Fire. (Just realized I commented right before you brought up graphic novels 🤣🙈)

I think I'm going to skip the Kindle Color soft and instead I'm going to buy an iPad. I'll just use the Kindle app and it will be in color, for the book covers and the highlighting. I already use the Kindle app for reading mixed media on my phone. That way I get not only the color experience on a bigger screen and with better contrasting colors then the color soft, I also get all the pros of having an iPad!! What perks/pros do you guys think there are for buying any Kindle device?

I get the daily special books that go on sale for free-$1.99 so I make sure to check everyday, but i'm pretty sure that works with the kindle app as well, not specifically with the kindle device itself. 💭

Yay a new video!! For me I don't think it is worth it considering I already have a paperwhite and I usually get my graphic novels at the public library. I usually read manga more than graphic novels and they are usually black and white and just buy/borrow from the library. I have more mangas then novels on my bookshelves 🤣📱📱Happy reading!!

I still think my signature paperwhite was my best bang for my buck 🙂 The colorsoft is more of a luxury for me than a necessity...a 40% price markup is tough to justify!

I have the Signature Paperwhite & haven't noticed any screen bleeding, but I will say, it is a bit slower processing & loading than the Colorsoft. But honestly, it's not that much of a difference. I love my Paperwhite! 💚

Yeah, I'll have to pass. I prefer a larger screen, so using the app on my Fire tablet still gives me color, and on the go, my phone also has the app in color. I'm a cheapskate though. Someone who prefers a Kindle over a tablet and reads a lot of graphic novels may think it's worth it...I just don't know if a colored library is worth $300.

I couldn't agree more. I'd rather use my iPad or my phone if I need color on my books. Otherwise, I'm perfectly fine with my kindle paperwhite.

Not a cheapskate - just smart with your money!! 💰☺️ As someone who also owns three iPads (🤣), here's where I think the kindle as the advantage: 1) the battery life is waaaayyyyy better (not sure if the battery on the fire is similar to the ipad, but I have to charge my ipad everyday...I charge my kindle once every few months!) 2) the kindle is much more lightweight than my tablet so I find it easier to hold for a longer reading time. But I would imagine the colors are much better on a tablet so it's a give & take for sure! 🧐 Honestly, I still think my Signature Paperwhite was the best bang for my buck ☺️

Great review if it this kindle came last year when I bouth colorsoft as my first kinle. I do read a lot of graphic novels and manga, but I came too late sad but I did get ipad for drawing so I read them there. I fully understand glasses migranes, as my perscription changes non stop since I am 10 now 25 which can they not as I need them to stop to get contacts on my eyes (operatiot idk how to explean in eng it not laster remover) I am - 8 almost which is lot

It's definitely great for graphic novels & manga! But multiple kindles are definitely not a necessity - more of a luxury, so I definitely agree! These glasses are hurting my eyes so badly - I can't wait to get my contacts back! 👀
