As a guy who competed at ultra heavy in my first year I learned to NEVER underestimate the smaller guy. Had a guy in an absolute who I outweighed by a good 100lbs double leg me from go, grapevined my legs and held on for dear life. I could not for the life of me scrape him off. That was a humbling and frustrating way to lose but it taught me a lesson. Keep doing these absolutes and keep humbling these big guys. You're doing us a favor.

I like watching white belt matches because I’m a white belt and it helps to see what others are doing. It’s more practical. Black belt matches are fun, but they’re doing things I can’t or in situations I’ll never be in.

"I do not want to get caught under a big guy." *Proceeds to pull guard on heavy weight big boy* Good rolling, lol.

yeah. pulling guard and maintaining shield is fine. once his weight is on you life sucks.

I guess it's not getting caught if you get there on your own🤪😂

How is a two time wrestling champion allowed to compete as a white belt?

Great content! I'm getting ready to compete for my first time. Could you tell us how many days a week (minimum) you would suggest going to class to get the stamina for a tournament. I'm working full time with a family and I'm going 3-4 days/week.
@griffinmaathuis9423 Жыл бұрын
Should go as much as you feasibly can in my opinion! The real stamina comes from staying relaxed and calm in the moment. Compete how you train basically
