The flasks can be refilled in the city and you can port any time via the new free portal as i understood from other videos ;)

I think with regards to your mentioning of not getting as many item drops as you hoped + flask charges being tougher to get, the underlying issue is just the limited time that you had to play the demo plus minimizing the time you spend in Town as part of that "speedrunner" mentality. If that time pressure wasn't present, players would probably be more comfortable with using the Portal to get back to town for a quick Flask refill at the Well and checking the Vendors for any good equipment/base-types (or to Disenchant magic/rare items to get Transmute/Alch Shards). Considering that PoE2 got rid of Portal Scrolls and has a Portal button, it's probably expected of players to go back to Town to refill your Flasks at the Well, and talk to the Vendors to buy/sell stuff with Gold, scrap Magics and Rares for Transmute and Alch shards, and Gamble to get specific base-types. At least in the very beginning, both as a new player, and of each league with an empty Stash.

Great review man, hopefully they fix the dodge roll, cast speed and skill speed on all classes in general, the rare mob density to refill the flasks as well and loot drop, it looks like we got ourselves a game of the year

Okay I have a question and you may not be able to answer it for specific reasons like GGG not wanting the info out quite yet, which is fine if that is the case. I am curious as to how complex and massive the skill system is in PoE 2 compared to Poe. With PoE being a 5 out of 5 for complexity the sheer size of the skill tree. What would you say PoE 2 would be in those terms. Am i going to get overwhelmed by it or will it be more manageable?

I love POE. I remember when I first started playing I was using a very clunky winter orb build but as I play more and more I start to learn more and more about the game and trying out a lot of different new build. I still remember my first end game build Carrion Golems that help me to beat Sirus. My favorite builds are Dancing Duo and The saviour Lacerate but unfortunately they got out of meta pretty fast but it was fun to try.

I'm beyond hyped for this game. I also much prefer playing PoE 1 on ruthless. Going through the campaign feels so much more meaningful than the usual rush to the endgame following a build guide.

Can any game experts explain to me what AAA game is? Is Path of Exile one of it? If so, what is the difference between AAA games and Gacha games such as Genshin, HSR,...? Is playerbase in AAA game considerably bigger than Gacha community? I don't play many game or look into the classification of game.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing you make content for PoE 2. I've been watching you since Destiny days, and while sometimes I'm not a fan of the "hype" personality you go for in some videos, I always have thought you had a great analytical side for games. Whenever your content slowed down and got into the details of builds and gameplay, that's where I really thought you shined. A game like this would have a lot of content for you in that way.

Yea I don’t care what anyone says this game looks dope as hell and a significant improvement already from 1. I will agree the drop rate of items seems lacking but it could just be because of this being a Beta test. I mean they may have even deliberately made the game harder for you testers to sorta get the full taste of the game or something. The funny thing is though in Path of exile 1 I actually feel like the drop rate of items was way to high. Like literally every mob of enemies would drop like 30 plus items I swear and half of them would be like magic or rare tier level items. Legendaries were always hard as hell to find which I get but apart from that you got loot like super easy and I actually wasn’t a huge fan of that because it was kinda annoying picking it all up and constantly having to go back to town to sell. I’m not the type of guy to leave loot even if it’s basic crap, I just believe everything has value and there’s no need to not collect it and get some kind of profit or benefit from the items you get whether you keep them or sell them. So I would actually prefer to have slightly less item drop rate but maybe not as much so as what I see in this video lol. I do agree maybe there should be a better chance of items but not much more. Also am kinda hoping the difficulty in the game isn’t actually going to be this bad when it releases. Because in the first game I managed to get all the way to act 9 out of 10 before finally experiencing my first death and I nearly even finished act 9 as well before the death. I’m not a joke to these type of games and usually am pretty good but this game looks way tougher and I just don’t know lol. I am a odd gamer and when I die in games I have this thing where I have to start over from the beginning again and attempt to not die that time around and I keep doing this until I succeed. It’s how I get good in games and how I managed to nearly beat all of PoE 1 without dying once. Furthest I ever made was act 9. But dude I don’t want to be dying to bosses like halfway through the first bloody act. Also kinda hoping these acts are like super long cause it’s odd they went from 10 acts to only 6 and apparently originally there was supposed to be 7 when there original plan was to give PoE 1 a graphical overhaul to look like 2 and combine both games so when you went into the menu you had the option to play through two campaigns which would be either PoE1 or 2. But they decided to change that for whatever reason and stick with 2 being entirely separate. Which disappoints me because now that means 1 will probably never get that graphical overhaul update and I was really hoping for that. But anyway I don’t want this game to be short. I mean most people are beating the first act in just alittle over 2 hours man. Granted they may not be doing all the side quest stuff and I guess exploring the whole map cause there in a rush so I guess that could kinda be why? That may also be why you’re feeling so weak when encountering bosses. Your all who are testing the game rushing because you have limited time. If you were playing normally I would assume most people would explore each map level area completely and thoroughly and probably do all side quests as well and get more loot this way and a few more level ups. But as someone forced to rush because of limited time to play your wanting to rush through levels and all so you can see as much as possible in the time given.

Difficulty is never the problem. It is always the question of „gives me the game reasonable feedback and windows to adapt my playstyle no matter my loot or my drop“ or are their just „weird One-Shot mechanics and 100% pattern learning“. A game need to give you the chance to make mistakes and still succeed. Imagine all your favorite TV show showdowns and its done after one mistake? No, you have 6 episodes about a big fight where both overcome their shortcomings and weaknesses, make mistakes and the overhand changes every 5 minutes. I think way to less games are forgiving, you really have to learn it blindly, you cant take risk and when you are punished without feeling the chance to overcome it rather than just by being perfect, well, I turn them off and play something else. No game is worth the time to feel bad about yourself. Its just a game, the world is fucked up enough and nothing competes with real life in terms of difficulty. The questions stay, will PoE2 opens the door for new players and is reasonable difficult or just difficult. And why is Mana and Potion not on one button each? That’s just bad game design. I don’t want to be confused to play WASD, press or miss a button of the numbers and in the same have other buttons besides it for skills as well. That just sucks a lot. Then a controller is way better. And when will the open/closed beta start? I would even pay a couple of bugs to be a closed beta tester. I mean for all the development time they better make it perfect for newcomers and oldschool players. I want to play it and find out if I am not good enough or if the game play enables me to get better and overcome the weaknesses. Overall they feel like making the same mistakes as Blizzard with the Sorc, Melee Classes hit harder, take more damage, have less resource problems etc. They better figure it out. Sorc is my main. Without Sorc, without me.

In my case I'd want a slower and tactical progression than PoE 1 and less running around at lightspeed destroying everything 🙏 even the loot gets way more importance if the drops are rarer! Gosh I hope they keep it as we've seen so far with recents feedbacks. A less arcady playstyle
